I'm sure this has been asked before:

I'm planning on incorporating an every-other-day refeed. At this point, I'm having trouble with other diet protocols.
I just need some details clarified. If, for example, on day one I finished the day with a caloric deficit of 500 calories...and then on day 2, I consumed 500 above maintenance...wouldn't my net deficit be almost nothing?

And, if I'm doing it every other day, could I afford to make the deficit larger? How big before leptin really drops?

And does the refeed, due to the metabolic boost it provides-and-what-not, "decrease the value of the calories" by any notable amount(as in, for example, 500 over maintenance acts more like 300 or something because of the leptin boost...?:coffee:) ??
Thanks.

If you refeed every second day with a 500 calorie surplus after a deficit of 500 calories you'll just even out, and accomplish neither cutting nor bulking.

With a 500 calorie deficit you shouldn't need to refeed more than every 3 days. Anywhere from 4-8 days would work well for a 500 calorie deficit.

Right, but what about my other questions>

Like, would a deficit close to 1000 make my leptin go too low? And what about my question regarding leptin when you eat over maintenance?
