im cutting right now and have a pretty set diet. im wondering if eating spaghetti for dinner would be ok or not.

thanks

A reasonable amount is fine

If it fits into your daily total... You could use it.

My only problem with pasta is that is that it is pretty calorie dense and it does not offer you a lot of fibre, minerals, vitamins etc... So I would be cautious of using it when cutting.

oats are caloric dense too arent they.
or you mean oats are much more filling

no, well she means that there are other foods per calorie that offer more nutrients.

so as you mentioned oats; say 200 calories from oats will give you many more nutritional benefits than 200 calories from spaghetti.

a more extreme example of a 'calorie dense' food would be a candy bar. Lots of calories in not a lot of food.

I would say oats would be considered a 'nutrient dense' food.

oatmeal will make you feel reaallly full.

i make egg white omelets and put pasta sauce n a little parmesean cheese on them...

to me pasta is kinda like eating a serving or two of flour. yuk. rice, beans a lot of better choices. of course there are always cheat meals :) a little fettucini never killed anyone.

no that's it just a little olive oil on the pan. very good for weight loss too. you can leave one yolk in but it really is as good without.
