Dinesh D?Souza, co-director of the film "2016 ? Obama's America," and author of the new book "Obama?s America," sent money to cover the hospital bill of a sick child belonging to President Barack Obama?s brother after George Obama pleaded with him over the phone for help.

In a column published on FoxNews.com, D?Souza outlines how George Obama, the youngest of eight children sired by Barack Obama Sr., asked him to send $1,000 to cover medical bills for his young son who was sick with a chest condition.

D?Souza confirmed that the boy was ill and wired Obama the money. D?Souza met and interviewed George Obama in Kenya during research for his film.

D?Souza said in the column that President Obama wants nothing to do with his younger brother, which is surprising given that he lives in such poverty.

?Obama?s refusal to help George is especially surprising because George doesn?t just live in American-style poverty but rather in Third-World poverty,? D?Souza wrote. ?He lives in a shanty in the Huruma slum in Nairobi. He gets by on a few dollars a month."

Obama also has an aunt named Hawa Auma, his father?s sister, who ekes out a living selling coal on the streets of a small village in Kenya. She says she would like to have her teeth fixed, but she cannot afford it. Obama hasn?t offered to help her either.?

?What?s going on here?? D?Souza asked. ?Why is President Obama so hesitant to help family members in need??

D?Souza hints that it could have to do with a book that George Obama participated in writing, which later was destroyed by publisher Simon & Schuster without explanation. The British journalist that teamed with George Obama said he ?suspects that the White House convinced Simon & Schuster that George?s story might prove embarrassing to the president.?

D?Souza also believes that there is also a ?deeper explanation? for President Obama?s snub of his brother. He wrote, ?This isn?t mere negligence; it suggests an active animus. The reason for that animus emerges in George?s book and also in my interview with George in the film 2016. In that interview, George rejects the anti-colonial philosophy that was espoused by Barack Obama Sr. This is the ?dream from my father? that President Obama celebrates in his own autobiography.?

He continued, ?Incredible though it seems, George Obama is, within the context of his own society, a conservative. He doesn?t worship at the shrine of Barack Obama Sr. and he espouses an ideology diametrically opposed to that of his father and his famous brother. George has experienced first-hand the empty rhetoric of the two Baracks, and he rejects it based on his actual experience of Third-World poverty.?

The author concluded the column by saying George Obama called him because he ?had no one else to call. He reached out to me in his time of need because he felt he couldn?t call on his real life sibling living at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.?

D'Souza's one-sided argument ultimately stoops to fear-mongering of the worst kind, stating in no uncertain terms that, if the president is reelected, the world four years from now will be darkened by the clouds of economic collapse, World War III (thanks to the wholesale renunciation of our nuclear superiority) and a terrifyingly ascendant new "United States of Islam" in the Middle East. These assertions are accompanied by footage of actual dark clouds and horror-movie music.

The real bogeyman isn't Obama, who D'Souza acknowledges can come across as an appealing and charismatic leader. That honor is shared by several men D'Souza refers to as Obama's "founding fathers," in an unsubtle dig at the president's patriotism. It's a group that includes communist Frank Marshall Davis; former Weather Underground member Bill Ayers; academic Edward Said, whose views are described as anti-Zionist; liberal Harvard professor Roberto Unger; and the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, a proponent of so-called black liberation theology.

None of the names of these putative villains is new, which gives "2016" the air of a "Nightmare on Elm Street" sequel, pandering to the franchise's hard-core fans, while boring everyone else.

the US has some of the lowest tax rates in the OECD. the statutory rate on paper that the anti-taxers always refer to doesn't mean squat it's what company's pay in reality after all their end of year profit hiding tricks and off balance sheet reporting, etc. that matters.

all of the OECD tax information is right on the website. the US has some of the lowest all around taxes in the OECD, while INCREASING the ability for corporations and individuals to avoid taxes while the other country's in the OECD have closed loopholes, etc. tax cuts are the major reason why the US deficit has grown so large since the 80's along with the additional 5T that was added from 2009-2012 from further reduced revenues from the recession. tax cuts that did not benefit the long term economic output of the country but impeded it by increasing inequality and debt for the average US worker.
