Squat Box

I want to try box squats, but Im not exactly sure what height to make the box? Im guessing I should measure how high my parallel squat is and make the box that high? or is it different heights for different ranges of motion?
 
Initially, make the box so that you sit parallel. As you start working weaknesses, you can make adjustments.
 
I've heard of guys using aerobic steps for box squats. Any opinions???
 
Mine is 10.5".. so below parallel, but this is where I was comfortable squating at.. feel the most progress from them at that level anyways.
 
I set the box a few different levels depending on my form. Low bar wide stance I'll squat to a higher box as there is no way my flexability will allow me to get ass to the grass. Olympic squat (high bar/narrow stance) I set the box low (10 ir 11 inches) to work on my explosivness out of the hole as this is where I wil be when receiving a clean.
 
I see. Thanks everyone. I plan on building my own, hopefully it doesn't look like crap :laugh: Im pretty flexible and can do a all the way down in my squat, well at least I could...today I was running the 100m a couple times and I think I pulled an @$$ muscle :cry:
