Im just interested how many sets of squats are you averaging on your leg day. How much is enough to build powerfull legs? Can there be too much in terms of overtraining ? Thx.
I do about 6 sets. Usually it's 3 sets of 2 different forms of the squat. Currently I do 3 sets of hack squats and 3 sets of one-legged (Bulgarian) squats. I have heard of people's entire leg routines being squat based.
For the first five sets I put the weight I know I can handle for 6 reps and try to push the other reps, no more than 8. For the last 5 sets I do basically the same thing, put weight I know I can take for 4 reps and try to push another two.
