starting weight training again

Just starting again after 2 yrs and have added some kilos since then...How intense should go to start with?
Is training each body part on a seperate day 5-6 times a week ok or should I just train 3 times a week covering all body parts each workout?

full body

I find that splitting my workout over a week leaves me frustrated after a workout. I like to feel my WHOLE body tired after a work, not just my legs/chest. So from my advice, id go with a full body 3 times a week...probly also a good idea seeing as your just getting back into it and the general body workout you get from a full body will aid your body in readjusting to resistance training.
 
For me, I've always gone with the split, 4 way that is. I respond better to this system, and I enjoy it like this.
 
Read the stickies in this section for advice on setting up a program. As far as a split goes, most people here would advocate a 3 or 4 days a week full body or upper/lower split.

Remember though, a split is just that: only a split. There are many other variables that need to be set up correctly for any split to work properly at all.
