People like to bastardize red meat, but I honestly don't think it's that bad. A reasonable portion every other day should be perfectly fine in my opinion.

Would it be alright in terms of what?

If you are trying to lose weigh then you might find that this type of meal is not all that easy to fit into your diet - it is high in total calories, fat (esp saturated fats) and has a good dose of carbs too (mashed tato).

If you are looking to gain a lot of weight then it might be just what you need.

In terms of health - there are many, many better choices. Sure, as cowpimp said, the occasional steak of trimmed, lean red meat is ok (although game meat is better) but having lots of saturated fats (cheese + fatty steak) in combination with the higher GI potato (and what ever else you put into the mashed potato such as butter or cream??) and you start to get a little unhealthy.

In my opinion - if you are eating it for the 'vege factor' then it is no good.

Not unless you make your own using a whole heap of vegetables, then you ditch the dressing (or make your own) and ditch the bacon as well... then replace the potato with sweet potato and use grilled chicken breast and 1 or two eggs as the protein source... Then it would be fine.

Steak everyday? Wouldn't you get tired of that?

I mean...I like Filet as much as the next guy, but damn.
