Steroids.
An interesting topic that you don't know anything about until you try them for yourself. I figured i'd share my short, true story for any who are interested, for all you juicers who can relate, and for anyone who is thinking of juicing for the first time.
I'm now 23 years old and have been truely BB for about 3 years with the most important thing IMO, the Mind-to-muscle connection. I've been lifting for 7 total. While BB, and in idolizing my hero, Arnold, I really fell in love with BB over the last few years, and in doing so, of course became curious with steroids. I knew very little, except that i learned i could actually get some from a friend of a friend. I decided that i may never get the chance again, so i got his advice and bought the goods (and even got it for cost)
I juiced for the first time last fall. Vaguely knowing what i was doing, i remember being nervous as hell taking my first shot. What would it feel like? What effects would it have on me? Well, i'd soon find out.
My first cycle i went from 205 to a big 235. After PCT, i stayed at about 220 (about 10%bf).
My 2nd cycle i went from 220 to 230, and am currently just under 230, and the leanest i've ever been. (i'll be posting pics hopefully this weekend)
EFFECTS:
GOOD:
Ahhhhhhh. The benefits of steroids. They are seemingly endless. First off, the only way to describe being "on" is that you feel like a million bucks at all times. This only gets upped when you finish working out and your muscles are incredibly swollen, you then feel like a cool $2mil. When you workout out, you experience the obvious effect of increased strength, but you also get these pumps that are mind-blowing. The "magic" strength and pumps you get have a weird effect on your mind.
This is where the mental part of steroids comes in. Seeing the incredibly quicky results right before your eyes (pumps, strength and size) only makes you work harder. You're then working harder and get better results, which only makes you work harder. Its a cycle that just keep repeating.
This is where there's a thin line b/w how important steroids are. IMO, This is why Arnold was so successful, and why pro BB's are so dedicated. Arnold started juicing at age 15. He experienced incredibly quick results in both size and strength, and that's only gonna make you wanna work harder. You then are working harder, and, like i said above, you get that repeating cycle.
On the other hand, there's the idiots who say "the only reason those guys are so big is b/c the of steroids". Well, needless to say, those people are idiots. Without the proper training and diet, steriods are worthless. But at the same time, without steriods, pro BB's don't get ANYWHERE close to where they are.
BAD:
Not to the bad effects. Unfortunately, my cycles didnt go perfectly. I experienced some excess acne on my shoulders and back. But that didnt bother me too much b/c i've grown up with it all my life, and because it didnt appear on my face, i could care less. Plus i can get all tan in the summer and kinda cover it up.
The worst thing i had to endure was the dreaded gyno. It appeared as my first cycle was ending, and boy was i devastated. I even took all the proper precautions with anti-e's, and it STILL formed. I was severely depressed, and thought i'd have to live with it the rest of my life (and cosmetically it didnt even really look that bad, its just the thought of having it). LUCKILY, and i stress LUCKILY, i found a doctor that said he could remove it. I lied to him and told him it formed from Ph's, and luckily he believed me. I was nervous as hell going into surgery, cuz i obviously didnt know how it would look when i was done. It couldn't have went better.
Needless to say, i didnt learn my lesson, and months later decided i wanted to juice again, and am currently ending my 2nd cycle. Wouldn't you know it, it formed, AGAIN (on the other side). Luckily, again, this time i previously confirmed with my doctor that if it formed "for some reason" on the other side, that he'd remove it. That's where i'm at right now as we speak.
The other big thing that sucks about steroids is coming "off". You go from feeling like a million bucks, being horny as hell, strong as a bull and looking huge, to "normal" again. Its that time that you have to try and realize that you ARE bigger than when you juiced. You just get so used to being huge that you forget how you looked before.
Anyhow, i'll stop babbling now. This was my story with the juice. My opinions of pro BB's is just that, my opinion. But i honestly feel they get where they are not only from the obvious physical effects of years of steriods, but also the mental sides that "keep that circle repeating over and over again".
I hope all of you who have never tried it can learn something from this, although you will never know what i'm fully talking about until you try it for yourself. I'm not saying go out and juice, just don't judge it or the people who "use" until you have tried it. If you do decide to, be PREPARED for everthing that can happen.
For those who read this, thanks for being patient. I hope it was at least interesting if not informative.
