ok just came back from the doctor. He said its only a muscle pull!!!(though it feels worse, but he's the doc),in the lower left part of my back. But he said no more working out for the next 2-3 weeks, and no strenuous activity at all for the next 10 days (not even running on a treadmill). I guess i got off easy. Still gonna be damn hard not to hit the weights.
So my question is, how do i eat now, b/c i am on a bulk that i just bumped up to 3000 cals, but if i'm not working out, should i still eat that much? won't i gain a ton of fat?
Also, can i expect to keep any of the muscle that i have gained or am i gonna deflate?

Eat good so you heal fast...but dont eat like a pig
3000 cal is not high at all unless you are 120lbs and female.
Whats your weight and age??

I'm 25, 5'6'' and 135 pounds. But 3000 cals is s lot for me. especially if i cant do any excercise. I don't wanna get fat. This sucks, i was starting to see good gains too.

what is your maintenance cal amount???
You might just drop back to 2500 until you can train again.....but eat good calories and take a multi vit/mineral also.

i'm not realy sure what my maintenance is , but its probobly close to that. But I'm assuming even at that amount I will lose some size. Oh well, better to come back healthy even if a little leaner.

I would drop calories back to maintanence level and take the 2-3 weeks off as your doctor suggested. You're not going to lose size unless you don't eat well.

I would just eat at your maintenance level until you start working out again.
