i want to keep the muscle i have now and the strength i have but i also want to lose weight. i'm thinking of doing alot of cardio and a little less weight training. will it be possible for me to lose alot of fat and still gain muscle and strength?

You're missing some crucial information regarding body building and nutrition.

You should read the stickies in both the Training and Diet & Nutrition forums. They will help to answer your question.

well i read the stickies but i'v asked other ppl and they have given me mixed answers...someone told me that you need to eat more calories to gain muscle and that u cant lose fat and gain muscle at the same time...others told me that i could do both. But none of them mentioned strength

it would be very hard to do if i was u i would go on a cut first and then go in to a bulking stage it would work out a lot beter then trying to do them both at the same time.

well if i go on a cutting diet will i b able to gain strength?

not realy becaus it will be much harder to bild strength because ur body wont beable to get every thing it neads to get stronger

when i am cutting and doing alot of cardio i will be able to keep the muslce i have right now correct?

also how many reps of how heavy of a weight should i use while cutting?

read the stickies.

dont go real heavy consistently on a cut.

you will probably lose some muscle.

You wont keep all your muscle and strength through a cut, but what you can lose you can get back.

Just have to decide which is more important.

well after i'm done cutting and i and i want to start maintaing that amount of body fat and gain more muscle how should i go about this? or after cutting do i have to go into a bulking stage to gain muscle? but i simply want to cut then gain muscle from there without gaining much fat.

It really is in the stickies.

Bulking: caloric excess, improve muscle gain, minimize fat gain, work on increasing strength in a bodybuilder program.
Cutting: caloric deficit, improve fat loss, minimize muscle loss, work on maintaining strength and volume.

whell sad this is every thing u nead to no if i was u cut first then bulk

well why is it better to cut and then bulk?

this is a good question

but
my answer would be

- if you are talkiung about losing fat and gaining muscle, you are probably conserned about your bf%...
get it low, then bulk...
if you study up, and get your stuff straight you can minimize muscle/strength lose, to probably close to none

well if i go on a cutting diet will i b able to gain strength?
I have done this before but it is not typical. Are you new to eating "clean?" If so, in my opinion it is very possible to make strength gains while cutting.
