Stretch Marks

once they are there they are there. I don't think you can really get rid of them.

Surgery

Vitamin E oil is great and if that is too expensive or you can't get your hands on it, simple vigin olive oil can also be used. Just apply it twice a day every day and also scrub the area softly in the direction of your heart to improve the circulation of the skin whenever you bath/shower.

They will never disappear completely but will fade quite dramatically.

Hope this helps..

Lawl, its hopeless. I have tried everything, but my big nasties ain't going nowhere.

You have to actually change your attitude about the stretchmarks as with anything else in life..

I think of mine as permanent badges of accomplishment. Not only have I had two children but I have changed my life by taking charge of my weight problem.

They are simple reminders of how big I used to be and of what I do not intend to become again!

If you look at them, maybe not with pride, but certainly with a sense of achievement then you stop noticing them so much and they become feint without even changing colour.

Hugs and have a great day all!

Also any cream with shea coco butter can help prevent strech marks from progressing.

I just wonder what mine will look like on my stomach once I lose all my weight. My gallery pics show them well, as I've said before I checked pride on this board long ago.

I have them too on my chest / bicep tie in areas near my armpits. I have actually found emu oil works quite well. Of course you can never 100% get rid of them, unless you resort to surgery, but I have found the by applying emu oil everyday does actually fade them quite a bit. I have been doing this for the past 6 months.

The reason being, emu oil actually penetrates into the third transdermal layer of the skin (qute deep) which is where the tears in the skin actually are.

Give it a go, but don't purchase the cheap emu oil you can buy for a few dollars, buy the triple filtered emu oil made in australia which is the more pure quality and extracted from emu birds that are fed a natural diet, and not pumped full of antiobiotics or hormones. You can buy this for around $15-$20 which should last you a few months at least.

I can only add what I encountered with surgery...
it was called a Body Lift. I must admit it was incredible to see these transformations...this one woman must have been well over 300 lbs and then she was like 200 or less.

If you get a chance look @ photos of before and after of body lifts.

I think, it is the only way to get rid of some of the marks...not all of them.

The surgeon I spoke with that is with a tummy tuck, said lifts can change even saggy skin, that happens for those with larger muscles back in the day to those that were very heavy.

They seem to be permanent but can fade overtime. Vitamin e can help. A friend of mine told me tanning can hide them but just made mine worse.
