Hey guys, just wondering what you all thought of my bulking diet.

I am 6'3'', 185/190 7 or 8 % BF. my maintenance is around 3300 calories

So here it goes!

Meal 1 = 4 jumbo eggs fried - 2 pieces of toast

Meal 2 = 8 Ounces grilled chicken breast - 8 ounces sweet potato - 1 cup of raw carrots

Meal 3 = 8 ounces grilled steak tip - 1 cup oats - 1 cup broccoli

Meal 4 = Same as meal 2

Meal 5 = same as meal 3

Then on workout days a post workout shake with rice protein, 1 tablespoon of flax oil, and 1 cup of hemp milk and a banana.

Supplements are 5 grams creatine monohydrate (10 g on workout days). 6 grams Beta Alanine. Daily multi.

so the grand total is around 4,000 calories

protein = 371 grams (37%) carbohydrates = 361 grams (36%) Fat = 128 grams (28%)

Lifting routine is all compounds.. Back - off - chest + military press - off - legs - off - repeat.

I figure with this diet I'll gain 1 to 1.5 pounds per week.

So let me know what you think!

looks pretty good. just add some green veggies and youll be set. enjoy the bulk.

that looks really solid. I'd be proud of it, and I myself eat something like that except i eat too much carbs but i cant balance between 500 over or 1000 over maintenance so i stay on the safer side and be sure that its over maint :)

as for the routine it's exactly mine except i do chest&shoulders/legs/back. Glad to see someone who isnt doing an arm day :D

Thanks man!

It definitely feels like a solid diet haha.

I used to lift one muscle group a day (one day dedicated to arms) and I just felt like their too small of a muscle group to dedicate that much time to. Why wait 2 or 3 days after an arm workout to do chest or back when you can just do chest or back and hit your bis and tris at the same time; not to mention the hormonal benefit.

I might even take out the military press. I feel like if I hit my chest hard enough my shoulders get toasted anyways.

I also hate taking more than 1 day off. I feel gross if I don't get in the gym for consecutive days so this routine seems to be giving me all the recovery i need without that gross feeling of being sedentary for a few days.

Drop the flax oil, replace it with fish oil (or at least add fish oil). Also take the fish oil daily.

You may also want to back off on a couple of the eggs (go w/ whites) and replace the fat with like natty PB or Olive Oil as you are getting a LOT of saturated fat it looks like and not enough mono.

I assumed the 4 eggs only came with 2 yolks, like everyone else doing BB!
But yea you need the different omega 3's from fish oil that you dont get in flax.
Keep military in thought, your shoulders are more robust than you think. I learned the hard way and now they're lagging :(

Danzik,

I was thinkin about droppin a couple yolks, so I'll buy some whites and do that.

I do take fish oil per my doctor, just forgot to mention it. 2 caps twice a day.

Thanks for the comments guys.

And Merkaba,

The pizza still comes in haha. I actually had a nice steak bomb with cheese yesterday.. Can't eat perfect all the time!
