Summer Diet

Will keeping the same amount of calories but making a diet "cleaner" lead to muscle growth/fat loss? If so, please critique this diet.
7-One Egg
11-Banana, Chicken
3-Salad, Dressing (Vinegar+Oil)
7-Vegetable, Chicken/Fish
11-What is a good, healthy, late night snack?
 
How much do you weigh?

Need more protein in meal 1, regardless.
How much chicken in meal 2?
You need protein in meal 3. A salad doesnt have much, even with vinegar and oil. :D
How much chicken/fish in meal 4?
Good food for right before bed is some cottage cheese + cinammon + splenda.

Also, any reason youre spacing meals 4 hours apart, instead of 3? If its not a matter of time constraints, you should try to fit in 6 meals, one every 3 hours.
 
Thanks for the quick reply, I am a male ad weigh 113 pounds. How would you reccomend I add more protein to meal one. Also, the amounts of chicken and fish are unspecified, I am not really in a position to be that much in control of my diet. The meals are spaced out every four hours for no particular reason, if 3 is better, I can change it. Any other late night snacks acceptable, cottage cheese isn't too appealing to me.
 
Cottage cheese is great! Too bad you dont like it.
You could always get a casein protein, or eat some egg whites.
 
at 113 lbs you are looking to cut calories and lose weight? I weighed that much in sixth grade
 
How old are you? Height?

Add more protein to meal one with more eggs. :D How about 4 egg whites and 2 whole eggs? And you could add some cut up chicken to that salad for some protein... or even some eggs. :lick:

Five meals is fine for now... in fact if youre just starting to eat more frequently than 3 meals a day, leave it at 5 for now. Once you get a little more experience, you can worry about fine tuning everything.
 
Thanlks everyone, I'm male, 15 years old. Here's a refined version of that diet.
7-One Egg, some sort of protein
11-Banana, Chicken
3-Salad, Dresing, some kind of protein.
7-Chicken or Fish, Vegetables
11-Undecided as of yet.
 
Where's the carbs? :scratch:
 
Add some Egg Whites to meal number one (like 1 cup) and some oatmeal.
I'd switch the banana out for a sweet potatoe or some brown rice in meal 2.
In meal 3 you could add in some tuna/chicken/ lean beef. Keep the oil and vinegar.

You still need more carbs though and at your age and weight- you need more calories too- even for a cut. When your that young your metabolism is RAGING!!! Take advantage of it!! When do you workout too because you'll definatly need to concentrate on your pre and post workout meals.
 
Andrea, he needs to bulk honey ;) Banana's are good for a bulk.

yeah dude eat up your 15, you will only screw yourself over more if you try to restrict your caloire intake, your metab is so boostin right now that you could eat anything and not get fat if your exercising alot

Workout
9-Egg
12-Salad, Chicken
4-Chicken Sandwhich
7-Vegetales, Chicken/Fish, Brown Rice
11-Bowl of Cereal, 1% Milk
And about a gallon of water each day.
 
EAT, your only 15 don't worry so much about calorie intake, as long as your active. You are in your growing years and you need all the nutrients and calories that you can get.

Agreed. That diet doesn't have enough calories to feed my right arm. At 113 pounds you should be looking to gain weight. Eat a lot more than that! Eating clean is a good idea, but don't limit your calories so much. At 15 years old, you shouldn't be dieting.
