Why is it when I work my legs I break into a sweat very quickly and my heartbeat increases rapidly, and my breathing is a lot deeper then when I work my upperbody?

I sweat a little when I do my upperbody but not neary as much as when I am doing my legs.

Intensity isn't it because I am working just as hard on my upperbody as my lower body. Same # of sets and reps. What gives?
 
legs = more muscle mass = greater amounts of metabolic activity = more sweat
 
Yes, absolutly true for me as well, after i leave the gym after training legs im pretty drenched.
 
Indeed - legs work you're cardio way more - no doubt about that

Ditto. I am also drenched after deadlifts. Not as winded, but close.
