yesterday as i was doing shrugs ~(for the first time in ages) i realized that my right hand shoulder seems to rotate in a different axis. its hard to describe without a diagram. it also explains why to me - when looking in the mirror, my right hand delt doesnt stick out as much as the left...
i'm thinking of overcoming this by forcing myself to hold my right hand shoulder in the mirror identical position and work with dumbells.
i also have slightly longer left arm and leg...although it's not visible, just noticaeble when doing barbell work (i'm not a walking genetic freak or anything! - well physically anyway).
i compensate by making my left hand side have a slightly wider grip. i don't want to stop doing bench press with an olympic bar, as its one of my favourite exercises. i've not had an injury from weight training since i was 18, i'm 24 now and been pumping iron since i was 16.
does anyone else have this sort of problem? and if so, what do they do to overcome it? i know one guy in the gym i train in has 1 arm slightly longer than the other, but he uses bad form so i'm not about to consult him.
cheers
