I am so sick of my forearm and elbow killing me I do not know what the hell to do. When I first developed this I went and received a cortisone shot in the elbow. Most painful shot I have ever had. Anyway I got it from doing deads, and have not performed this exercise since and it hinders several other movements as well, along with the amount of weight i can throw around. Its been about 6 mo's since my injury and I really want it to heal but I do not think that is going to happen...I am going to up my MSM, glucosemein/chondroitin..
Any advice?

I had that a few months back, started taking the same med you mentioned and didn't lift anything for about nine days, haven't been bothered by it since.

Stretching is the best thing you can do for it. I have bicep and elbow tendonitis. I know how you feel brother.
I will give that a shot along with the above supps....Thanks bro..

Cissus and MSM. Its not a quick fix but it works. I used to get depo medrol shots in my R elbow due to tendinitis 2-3x a yr when i started the combo of those plus fish oil and vit c. Took about 3 or 4 weeks but i haven't had to take a shot in it in 3 yrs now. I take it daily but imo its worth it and it helps the rest of my old abused joints as well.

Personal Experience

A few years ago, I had "Golfer's Elbow" it is the same as "Tennis Elbow" but on the other side of the arm, tendonitis.

I was at a powerlifting meet lifting, Dr David Foster (Chiropractor/powerlifter) was at the meet. I ask Foster about my problem.

Foster them performed the...

Graston Technique

Basically, this technique "Eccentrically stretches" the tendon.

Foster advised me prior to performing the Graston Technique that it would hurt. I have a high pain tolerance and said, "No problem."

Wow, was I wrong! I was literally crying.

However, after the treatment, it felt better.

Foster then showed my girl friend how to perform it. Over the next month, we did the Graston Technique just about every day.

Cured

After a month of almost daily Graston Technique treatments, my tendon problem disappeared.

Basically, Gaston is a very aggressive method of stretching the tendon. Thus, as Pittsburgh63 stated...stretch it.

thanks a lot Kenny!

I have had a tendonitis on my left elbow from bench press for 3 weeks now. It is getting better but still not 100%.
I have been able to push/pulll type workout but not bicep curls.

Awesome thank you...Kenny..I will definately try this. I recommend this for a sticky....

I dealt with the same issue for over 2 years. Finally went in for some deep tissue work and a few chiropractic adjustments. Significantly dropped the amount of weight with exercises that aggravated it and after about 3 weeks, started going back up in weight very slowly. I'm 100% now with absolutely no pain. For me, finding a good LMT that used ART was what I think made the difference. Good luck.

Im seriously going to learn this just in case mine flares up. Ive been pretty lucky in that the supps ive used have worked and by learning how and why the pain occurs but this treatment makes perfect sense from an anatomical stand point. I feel a little like a dunce at the moment for having not heard of it before( ive been learning and experimenting with acupressure and trigger point massage for a year or so now) so i thank you for posting that link.

Sneeds, I did something stupid which resulted in the same problem your describing (lifted way too much weight the wrong way with bad form) beginning of this year its now 95% healed NOTHING helped me except about 100mgs of DECA Every week. it was so bad I could barely do my job and I use my wrist/ grip all day every day, carrying and lifting things (cleaning pools) but again now its at least 95% healed. but time and Deca did the trick , along with the rest of my supplementation.

I had super bad golfers elbow a few years back it didn't get better until I stayed on top of anti inflammatory and alternated heat with ice every twenty minutes for like literally a week

myofascial release techniques of any kind are of great benefit...

some good info recently passed on to me was kelly starrett mobility WOD...google it
