Thai Bistro

You can prob order one of the light entree's and I just wouldn't eat the rice or noodles

I love thai food :lick:

I love curry chicken. Just stick with anything that has chicken and veggies and take it easy on the noodles and you should be fine.

Steamed seafood or stir fried meat and veggies is always good, basically watch your sauces, and nuts.

Coconut Ice Cream $4

Homemade topped with crushed peanuts.

Thats what I want MMMMM

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

 I like your sig, its funny

I like your rear, it's lovely

thai food is the best i always order it as spicy as they can make it, i took my mom to some thai food for mothers day yesterday, as for food choices i would stay away from the curries, higher in fat from the coconut milk, i personally like the chicken dishes with chiles and thai sweet basil. Spring rolls are good if they are fresh and not fried

also anything with the words "crispy" can't be good for you, crispy=fried

What if I order some sushi or roles? which one would be low in fat?

All sushi is low in fat, except the ones with tuna and salmon (and that's "good" fat) or the bizarre Western ones with mayonnaise or cream cheese or such. (Generally, the "California roll" types.)

You can also usually get the raw fish on its own, or with sushi rice under it or on the side, so that you can use as much or as little as you like. I forget what that's called.

If you want safety, get the chicken salad, hold the dressing, hold the noodles, with lime wedges to squeeze on it. And what's wrong with their "Lighter Thai" menu? A bit high in the carbs I admit, but you don't have to eat all the damn noodles.

california rolls got avos in it, but in most of the sushi it is healthy fat, go with sashimi for sushi or a good ol spicy tuna roll

Grilled chicken breasts over spinach with a curried peanut sauce.

Sounds good to me.

Most are fish, seaweed, and rice. The specialty ones have avacado, etc.

"Best" for what?

rolls? what are the rolls made out of?

Sushi rice is short grain sticky rice (highest GI rice available) that is flavoured with seasoned rice wine vinegar and sugar. Not the best thing you can eat, really, though some Japanese eateries offer brown rice sushi. This isn't great either, becausde the brown rice is usually rose brown rice (sticky short grain), but I guess it's an improvement. I usually just eat sashimi. Phenomenal source of protein and tastes fresh as heck, I love it, probably my favourite food in the world.

Peace.

If you're talking about spring rolls, the wrap is made of white rice.

Peace.

don't forget that raw animal proteins are digested fairly quickly...when eating sushi,etc..you should be eating again about 2 hours later, 3 tops....

I'm planning of having sushi or some kind of entry in that restaurant next sunday about 2 hours after my PWO meal (shake & fruits) .. I'm still looking for the best low cal, low GI meal from there :(
