Good article and its ADD freindly :D

What the hell is the 1/6/12? As Marc explains in his latest article, it???s a classic lifting program used back in the days when men were men. Of course, Marc has refined it a little and runs through some examples to put to practice. Put simply, 1/6/12 is a great routine for strength and hypertrophy.

any of the old skool guys still train like this?

interesting strategy

Hmm, looks interesting. Would be curious to know if anyone has tried this and has got any decent gains from it.

the only difference between doing this and a regular workout where you are using different rep ranges is that instead of doing a strength exercise (say bench press) and a high rep, more metabolic, exercise (say DB low incline press) is that you are doing it all in one exercise....strength (set1), hypertrophy (set2), meachanical work or whatever you want to call it (set3).

Boyle does 5/10/20.

Doggcrapp does it in a different way, using heavy tension work, followed by the stretching type stuff (to get the mechanical work effect).

it isn't revolutionary.
