  • I don't do squats, 'cause they're bad for the knees.

  • I've been sick lately.
  • I do circuits for the exercise.
  • I don't care about how strong I am, I just wanna look good.

  • I don't need to do legs because I run/walk/cycle on the weekends.

  • Callus prevention? No I wear gloves to help my grip.

I noticed a few I did before...
 
lol pretty good kinda anying though cause we rarely get any decent looking women in our gym.

pisses me of abit when i have to search every where for the right dumbells even though there are labelled places for em
 
I'm not lifting ___ lbs on the ___ to impress the cute girl over there.

I don't care that my buddy( or training partner) can lift more than I can.

I took ___ and it didn't do anything for me. And its not because my training program and nutrition suck and I overtrain.

My workouts never go longer than one hour. This includes the time it takes me to do a proper warmup, a proper cool down afterwards, put the weights on and off the bar, hook and unhook cables, pick up and return dumbbells from the rack, write my weights in my log, rest between sets, get drinks of water so I keep my body hydrated, go from one station to the next, wait for other people to do their sets while I work in and everything else that can slow a workout down.

I use every plate on the rack during my workouts, not just the 45s.

minO, you seem good at this. Have you used a bunch of these yourself? I have used a few of these myself.....I know that lol.

I admit I have used the following. :(

  • I'll do abs tomorrow.
  • I don't care how I look, I just wanna be strong.
  • lifted a lot more than that last time.
 
I like to work abs, so I can't use that one. I've DEFINATLY used the "did more than that last time" one though......on several occasions actually lol. Oh yeah, the "I'm just getting back into it" is a good one i've used too

How is this a lie? If perform with the utmost intensity, then one set is all that is needed.

My lifting partner is a female powerlifter. She is always pissed when she doesn't get as much as she had the previous week. She is transitioning to bodybuilding now, so she is bound to lose some of her strength while she is cutting down to start.
