at this point trying to put citizens before corporate interests will be equal to drawing a bullseye on your head. i hope someone has the guts. the next potus will be Hillary btw.

Okay, you win. There is someone that would be worse than Obama.

I honestly pray that a strong Jeffersonian Libertarian gets the office. I don't mean some out in the weeds wacko that seem to be the ones out there. Someone who sees both sides, puts the Constitution and people first. There is a one out there, he or she has just not risen yet.

We had someone like that. his name is Ron Paul.

take a look at rep. Justin Amash. Rand Paul is ok too, but not as good as his father.

And who are these wackos you speak of?

i honestly believe Romney is a sociopath. i mean seriously, who holds someone down while they scream and cry and hacks off their hair? character matters and that's about as bad as you can get.

Sociopath for holding someone down while they got their hair chopped off? You've lost all credibility equating the two. I've never heard the story, but unless the person was old, infirm, or mentally handicapped, i'd be more concerned with the guy crying because his head was shaved

We aren't electing a 70 year old woman. The first picture of her getting her hair dyed to cover up the silver and it's over. it'll be the formerly fat fuck out of New Jersey who walks away with it. The country will have Obama fatigue (Don't we already?) and the pendulum will swing the other way

I would vote for Christie, at least he has the balls to say how it is. But I doubt repubs can make a come back

Kind of like how the Dems were in a total disarray and couldn't make a come back after the re-election of Bush? No the pendulum will swing back, but the next guy will be a more middle of the road conservative than the last followed by an even more liberal liberal than Obama. In essence we will be France in 20 years. We are pretty much fucked

Bullying Story Sidetracks Romney's Campaign - ABC News

5 of Romney's classmates spoke out of it recently.

"He can't look like that. That's wrong. Just look at him!" an incensed Romney told Matthew Friedemann, his close friend in the Stevens Hall dorm, according to Friedemann's recollection. Mitt, the teenaged son of Michigan Gov. George Romney, kept complaining about Lauber's look, Friedemann recalled.
A few days later, Friedemann entered Stevens Hall off the school's collegiate quad to find Romney marching out of his own room ahead of a prep school posse shouting about their plan to cut Lauber's hair. Friedemann followed them to a nearby room where they came upon Lauber, tackled him and pinned him to the ground. As Lauber, his eyes filling with tears, screamed for help, Romney repeatedly clipped his hair with a pair of scissors.
...
"It happened very quickly, and to this day it troubles me," said Buford, the school's wrestling champion, who said he joined Romney in restraining Lauber. Buford subsequently apologized to Lauber, who was "terrified," he said. "What a senseless, stupid, idiotic thing to do."
"It was a hack job," recalled Maxwell, a childhood friend of Romney who was in the dorm room when the incident occurred. "It was vicious."

it was all over the news. if you don't know about i think it's because you didn't want to know.

Phillip Maxwell ? who today is an attorney in Michigan ? characterized Romney?s attack on the gay student as ?an assault and a battery.?

?Mitt was a prankster, there?s no doubt about it. This thing with Lauber wasn?t a prank. This was, well, as a lawyer, it was an assault. It was an assault and a battery. And I?m sure that John Lauber carried it with him for the rest of his life,? Maxwell said to CBS News, which adds that Romney?s so-called ?pranks? were remembered ?as cruel, insensitive or frightening to the victims.?

Or because I pay attention to things that matter. Holy shit this is such a non story. He cut a guys hair in college? And the pussy cried about it? I went to a religious university that is almost always voted the lowest in the nation for party schools, and I did worse stuff than that. We all do stupid shit in college. Calling someone a sociopath for the event I just read further confirms the fact you have no credibility anymore in your opinion.

You are completely ruled by your emotions, and over the last 6 months and longer i've seen little evidence that you are capable of looking at things objectively. It's crazy because I remember when even though we always didn't agree I could see where your opinion originated from.

the friends that made on the record statements about the event are not nobodies. they are lawyers, etc. i supposed the lawyer has no credibility? he was there and said it was assault and battery. i think the fact you have done worse things speaks more to your lack of credibility than my opinion that character matters discredits me.

The incident was recalled similarly by five students, who gave their accounts independently of one another. Four of them -Friedemann, now a dentist; Phillip Maxwell, a lawyer; Thomas Buford, a retired prosecutor; and David Seed, a retired principal- spoke on the record. Another former student who witnessed the incident asked not to be named.

Today, Romney's actions would be considered a hate crime. The assault itself is a felony.

Why would Mitt Romney not remember straddling another boy and savagely cutting off his hair? Because the event meant nothing to Romney. Because, Lauber was beneath his contempt. Because Lauber wasn't human to the young Romney.

But won't voters find it disturbing is that five classmates vividly recall the event, but Romney doesn't? Uh oh, time to shake the Romney Etch-A-Sketch... Oh that brutal attack... It appears Mitt does remember assaulting Lauber, but-
I certainly don?t believe that I thought the fellow was homosexual. That was the furthest thing from our minds back in the 1960s.

but that is irrelevant to a voter that wants their country to move forward not fall back into the dark ages. pfffft. :coffee:

The punchline is that so many people think that one side or the other is working for them. Newsflash! Both sides want you to fail and they want you to fail miserably and think that it is your fault 100% of the time. If you succeed it means less for them. That is why they stack the deck in their favor.

Anyone who thinks a republican president would have made a difference is delusional.

Ron Paul was on the republican ballot

i honestly believe Romney is a sociopath. i mean seriously, who holds someone down while they scream and cry and hacks off their hair? character matters and that's about as bad as you can get.

who the fuck cares, just means hes fucking alpha dont fuck with him or he will fuck you up. not give you a hug and kiss.

Rand is pretty good, Ron would have been perfect, but I feel Rand will be great.

great a president that likes to make cover ups and is chicken shit to be held accountable for her actions thats what we need. I would rather have arnold and his bastard son in office.

Rand will be good his father is a huge influence on him, both of them are tired of the bull shit and will only focus on things that actually matter. The constitution.

I would vote for Christie, at least he has the balls to say how it is. But I doubt repubs can make a come back

Christie is a piece of shit now, and a puppet for Obama

This shit happened in college, are you seriously taking this serious, he hazed some kid in college big fucking deal. Look at all the presidents that served in our military i would love to know what type of hazing they put people through going through the ranks. Bunch of little babies, in high school we forced EVERY freshmen who played football to shave their eye brows and were make up for a week. If they didnt we made their life hell on the foot ball field. Big fucking deal.. Obama did lines of coke in college and other drugs

what we need is a damn president that will stop funding future terrorist, not be a fucking socialist. We need a strict constitutionalist that wont hug and kiss peoples asses and give out unlimited welfare. A president that will force people to be held accountable. No more free rides in this country. This country was built off the broken backs of past Americans. If your capable of work you should work period. I dont care how disabled you are dont be fucking lazy. If your handy capped there is something you can do. I dont buy into the self pitty bull shit. Just yesterday i watched a video of a kid playing base ball with one leg doing EVERY thing him self with no assistance. Running to bases jumping on one leg, he played catcher and hitting the ball. So fuck all these self pitty lazy ass holes they just dont want to put in work.

well if you were going to marry a girl but she was fucking the football team in college would that matter? a person with a really shitty character in college is a person who will die as an old person with a really shitty character.

if there are 50 people and 12 jobs and they all want jobs.... 12 are hired and the rest can starve to death because fuck you you're just lazy is the answer that doesn't require any real effort. gotcha. :coffee:

just to speak to the true nature of this forum... the guys that say what Romney did so long ago doesn't matter are the same guys that say once you go black we don't want you back.

So everyone should be judged by actions they did while they were a child? Shitty character he hazed some one in college which was actually VERY common during his time period in school. You should hear the stories our doctors tell while going through medical school, or the shit our f18 pilots go through.

Why not if I am in love with her what is the difference what she did in the past does not take away from who she is no and how i feel about her. I fucked probably close to 100 girls before i meet my wife and was honest about it, never once cheated on her, made the mistake of asking a girl for a pic of her tits via text but never had any intentions of cheating. Just wanted to see her tits they were huge. Other case in point, my best friend was a felon, who was so strung out on drugs he robbed people at gun point for oxy and would shoot up gutter water to ease his withdraws. He knows runs a non profit that mentors and guides todays youth. He has donated over 500,000$ worth of BMX bikes to help kids find an outlet in bike racing and also donated 40k worth of school supplies to needy kids and helps them raise their grades. Of course he doesnt have the money to do this so he works his ass of contacting sponsors and all doing this while hes a professional BMX racer, but hey he must be a piece of shit because of shit he did in the past we cant trust him he will all ways be a piece of shit.

this is not the case, there is work every where. If there was absolutely NO jobs and i had no way to make income the first thing i would do is call my friends to see if i can barrow a lawn mower and lawn tools if i dont have them and I would make flyers to mow lawns for 5$ a lawn and go door to door. I would wake up EVERY morning looking for work... If there was no jobs I would find a way to make one. Not sit on my damn couch eating junk food playing videos games. There are SOOOO many day jobs that hire for short periods of time as well at factories. People just dont want to work hard and they over value them selves. My dad went farm to farm asking if he can pick strawberries to get money.

We have mexicans come up to our farm EVERY day asking for work and what needs to be done and ill tell them I will give them 100$ to clear out the fields of all the broken branches and trash. Its called not being lazy.

i find it funny the people that love Obama but hate bush... They are the same damn thing except Obama want socialist views. Obama is still funding terrorist, were still at war, were still spending money on big corporations only difference is they are ones that Obama supports. There is no difference, America is so fucking blind. This country should be written off the constitutions not some random pipe dream.

The most successful people in this country have done it off the broken backs of them selves. They did not get hand outs, we hear stories of guys coming from over seas no speaking english who are million aires, my wifes grandpa being one of them. My best friends dad came over only speaking dutch and is a billionaire now and owns the rights to slush puppy drinks and a huge major convienent store in my home town. If you dont like being poor then kill your self from working so hard. If your not willing to put in the work then have fun living a poor life. The big issue as well is how many of these people in "poverty" own an iphone, a new andriod, have data plans, have a car with rims on it, have a LCD tv. ect. You dont need this shit to live. They live out of their means. Go to mexico and look at their poor, you wont see them with a fucking iphone.

Declining wages, in turn, have put housing out of reach for many workers: a household would need more than one full time minimum wage worker to afford a two-bedroom rental apartment at fair market rent.

44% of homeless people have jobs.

BARRIERS TO EMPLOYMENT FACED BY HOMELESS PEOPLE
As bad as it is for the 44% of homeless people who have jobs and can't escape homelessness, climbing out of homelessness is virtually impossible for those without a job. For those with limited skills or experience, opportunities for jobs that pay a living wage are very limited. Additionally, many members of the homeless population have to combat barriers such as limited transportation and reduced access to educational and training programs (Long, Rio, & Rosen, 2007). In such a competitive environment, the difficulties of job seeking as a homeless person can be almost insurmountable barriers to employment.

Far too many veterans are homeless in America - between 130,000 and 200,000 on any given night - representing between one fourth and one-fifth of all homeless people. Three times that many veterans are struggling with excessive rent burdens and thus at increased risk of homelessness.

lazy bastards. :coffee:

I can tell you that you have never served, there are allot of piece of shits in the military. Just because you sign a contract does not mean you deserve any special or expect attention. It does not take away the fact that you are still equal to everyone else and deserve no special hand outs. I believe that benefits that are promised to you should be granted but in the military we are told everything is a privilege and privileges can be taken away.

There are tons of organizations that will employ homeless vets and provide them housing. My father in law actually offered a few of them work making 12$ an hour starting out as an apprentice and 16$ once he felt they are trained and can work unsupervised doing fab work and farm work. Sad to say most of them just said dude i just want a dollar... So i have no sympathy, if you really want to work and apply your self then you go do it, Being a vet i dont think of my self as any better then any one else and i dont expect my fellow vets to think so either. We deserve the same treatment that everyone else gets.

Ron Paul was on the republican ballot

Ron Paul didn't toe the republican party line of maintaining the status quo in Washington. That is why he didn't stand a chance.

The most successful people in this country have done it off the broken backs of them selves.

you couldn't be anymore incorrect. large firms and capital are explicitly protected by the US government and the invisible hand of capital can move mountains. and the moving of that mountain isn't done by the people wearing the suit to work.
