Whatever u do, dont pick John Elway. I think its a toss up between Joe and Dan. I'll take Joe.

Tom Brady
WTF! How could u say this! Youve barely knew him for 5 years! No defense, no Patriots!

I think theres no question about it, gotta be Elway. Montana had more rings, but look at the teams he played on, that was the team of the 80's with the best reciever of all time. Elway got his rings to btw. Marino was better than Montana as well imo
he doesn't get enuogh credit. Manning will be up there when its all said and done. Shit you could make a strong case that Steve Young was better than Montana..

Tough call......

Marino had the best #'s, Brady had the most success, Montana probly the best overall, and Elway was good, but he always had the best RB, TE, and O-Line on his team.

Problem is, you can say any quarterback won a super bowl because he had a good X, 1 person does not win a super bowl. I would have to go with Montana, Brady has a shot 10 years down the line, but until then he can't really compare to the others. When all is said and done, I think Peyton will have the best stats, but he will be the next Marino.

Dale brings up a good point which is that you can't necessarily judge a Qb by his rings, football is too muhc of a team sport to have that be the basis of an argument, and QB's shouldn't be penalized for having support. It shoulds strickly be on skills, and I tihnk Marino and Elway have to be at the top of that list. I mean John could launch a ball from his knees n shit, and Marino's straight skills speak for themselves..my two cents

Elway

First off, lets leave Tom Brady name out of this shit! 3 out of 4 years? Thats not new. Remember Troy Aikman? Elway won two superbowls because of the RB he had behind him. 3800 yards in 2 years. Damn!

Steve Young has three rings, but only lead one to the superbowl. The 94 49ers were so cold its not even funny. They had no competition! I like steve young, but lets not get silly.

Yes Marino's skills does speak for themselves. :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: and its a damn shame he will be remember for not winning a superbowl. :(

When Brady needs to start putting SB rings on his other hand b/c he doesn't have any more room on one, you can eat your words.

Tom Brady will not win another super bowl. It makes me laugh when people say their going to win three straight even through they lost both coordinators.

while bernie kosar was my favororite (what can I say, I grew up in Cleveland). I would have to say Joe Montana was just amazing!

The thing with Brady is that he has the intangibles, but he will never have the stats.

Patrick Ramsey :thumb:

how about
Manning, Peyton Manning

Montana was incredible. Terry Bradshaw was also a great QB. Then again Johnny Unitas is largely considered the greatest passer ever. But Johnny 'Blood' McNally could really sling the old pigskin but that was in the days before the forward pass...(he was 1/2 back also but he still had a great arm).

That's a pretty dumb statement, especially considering this upcoming season will only be his 5th. He's got a lot of years left.
