So im a person who does not like salt in general, salty foods taste like crap to me. But since I am on a cut and getting really lean for the first time in my life im going below 11% (5'11 224 pounds at 11% today) i am geting more concerned with sodium. The problem is im just clueless as to how much sodium to consume per day....so how much sodium is recomended to a bodybuilder on a cut??? sometimes when i feel lazy i make me a trukey sandwich instead of my regular chicken meal...but in order to get 40g of protein from the turkey, plus, bread and a slice of cheese i get to about 1800g of sodium, i always freak out about that...so what is acceptable?

I gave up on trying to regulate my sodium a long time ago. Just the sodium alone in my daily canned tuna, jerky, pistachios, cashews, and lightly salted boiled eggs should kill me anyday now. :D

lol, i know how you feel....its us "healthy" people who will end up in wheelchairs and on oxygen for abusing ourselves like this :).....but still I would like to know so i can try and regulate it.......at this level of weight and body fat I sometimes gain and loose 5-6 pounds overnight for no apparent reason, so it is interesting to me.

i hired a pro bber for training in my diet for my show next yr. lets hope he can turn me around or jugger said he would do it. but i feel bad not paying jugger which he never asked he said it was free. hes a great guy. if it dont work iam going to hire jugger. hes so knowledgeable on dieting its unreal. but i do want to win this show and have had bad advice in the last show i won but barely. it was a city show anybody can win those if u train good and hard. but this pro seen me in the flesh, balls out and all iam holding to much h2o he said hes drafting up a diet now. ill post pictures after hes done with me.2 weeks out from show for critique maybe sooner to see wat jugger says.jugger has won npc titles. imo

I had to learn to like salt - I never used to salt my food. Salt helps your muscles hold water, and has no calories. While cutting, anything that helps your muscles work without adding calories is a Good Thing.™
