I'd rather have my arm chewed off by a rabid beaver while drinking Bud Light and running through an acid bath with two broken legs as large bear wrestling Russians hurl large stones at me while shouting hurtful epitaths concerning the shortcomings of my life and all of the various failures contained therein than listen to any current pop radio station.

The new Summer of Love has came and gone, the Revolution was televised. Were you awake, did you notice, next fall marks the 13th year of the Afghan War. 1969 was the 13th year of the Vietnam War....,,Mathematics....

My local Pop station has been playing positive, uplifting music lately....are you dialed in or hasn't your heart grown 3 sizes yet....Welcome....to the Machine, its gears passing darkly through the night light windvane on an old mill, and the answer my friends really is blowing in the wind. So sigh your relief, huff and puff under the strain of hard work, and screw your women until you both collapse in a heaving lump.....and blaze tubes for your head.

I like to stay plugged into current events of various types for my writing....sure to go the Way of the Hemming...if I stay tapped in too long, but I feel a sense of duty at all times....

There is very little true talent out there now. Very few "artists" that have actually had to work their way to fame lately, as well. So many are now the manufactured performers made up and carefully marketed by the recording studios. The sad part is that so many people actually FALL for it.

Oh, I can't even listen to the radio anymore because of the crap that fills the airwaves nowadays. You don't even have to be able to sing a lick, play any instruments or have any talent what so ever!....

The entertainment industry doesn't entertain me anymore, I took that upon myself....

....This bass player is a monster.......out of philly...

Let me guess, you listen to classic rock?

Your parents said the same thing.. :coffee:

fuck pop music except for that Ellie Golding chick, her voice makes my dick hard.

My musical tastes evolve, thank god. I have heard that most people's do not, so I count it as a rare blessing. I still enjoy classic rock, alternative rock, metal, and 90s rock, but over time, I learned to love classical, opera, techno, flamanco, latin music, and dubstep.

I even enjoy a few pop hits. I never get tired of Sail, by Awolnation, but I pray that someone hits Miley Cyrus in the face with a wrecking ball.

Amen, well except for dubstep. It's annoying to hear from people whose taste never evolved beyond their teenage years that music sucks now. Pop music has always sucked. Look at the charts from any year and you'll see crap near the top. There were some great artists in the 60's and 70's but most classic rock is trite and vapid.

Here's something new and fantastic.
Not sure what happened to the top end on the vocals though.
