I thought this would be an interesting topic. List your most physically and mentally demanding tests you have undergone wherever you train. Gym, sport competition, etc.

learning how to squat properly

weightlifting- trying to squat 375lbs when my buddy nailed me in the nuts half way thru the squat that was a bitch.

sports- trying to lead the team in a 4th quarter comeback after one of are capitans quit in the middle of the game. ended up breaking a 65yard touchdown run with 1:30 to play in a blizzard

Sports

Completely tearing my Achilles Tendon in half during the first half of a men's flag football championship game but played the entire game - offense (QB) and defense (Rusher - at least that's where I stood) on only 1 foot - only to lose 7 - 6.

Or

During my senior year in college I cracked my fibula playing Greek league soccer but continued to workout and play in the basketball, volleyball, football and soccer leagues for the next four weeks until we won 3 of the 4 leagues - we lost in the championship football game (that's another story).

Both decisions to continue to play were dumb but you can't change the past....

I played basketball my whole life, and we played one summer league tournament that landed us in 11 games in 44 hours.

We played twice Friday night, four times on Saturday, and five times on Sunday...Sunday was the playoffs, so you played until you lost. I was tired Saturday morning after playing twice Friday night, and was beat to shit Sunday morning when I woke up...the worst part was, the last four games on Sunday were played consecutively; at 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, and 4pm. I was a starter too, and our coach had a short rotation, so all the starters played about 35-38m of a 40m game. By the 2nd half of the last game every inch of my body ached, and I was almost unable to walk that night. We won the whole damn thing, though, 11-0.

Squatting 225 30 times was tough. Lifting weights with a pinched nerve in my hand for a year was a bitch.

Playing half of a football season with torn ligaments in my ankle was the worst. The coach taped my ankle every game to the point that I couldn't bend it but I could still stand and drive with my other leg, but my toes were purple at the end of each game. I'm lucky I still have my toes. My coach was a dickhead cock sucker for that one.

mine may have been a 100 rep full squat w/ 20 lb weighted vest.

been through so many teeth grinding sessions it is hard to tell.

mentally, tearing connective tissue in my back was one of the hardest times. Hurt all the time, whenever I woke up I felt it still hurting for weeks. I tried training through that but ended up having to take a month off, which in retrospect isn't that bad.

sports, my first western massachusetts cross country race, I had a season's best pace on one of the hardest courses I ever ran.
The other would have to be the 6 minute submission wrestling match I was in (4th of mine in the tourney that day). Lost it 13-18, I don't care though, but it was super tough.

Trying to bench 220lb for the last time during an EDT training session, the bar ended on my throat and I was saved by my wife.....From that day on, I always bench with dumbells when I train at home.

Running 4 miles on a hilly trail in 25.5 mins. That was a while ago ,but it still sticks with me as a great run. After back squats, calve raises, seated calve raises and leg press i immediately hit up the leg extension and repped it out for 2 mins with little 3-5 second breaks. On my 3rd set of back squats i racked the weight and walked out of the rack, and then proceeded to smack my little toe into a plate on the floor. I hit up the front squats in a rage almost 30 secs after that and set a PR a week after my weight session i went to the doctor and found out i had a fracture in my toe.

4 hour bike ride. Not in the gym. Outside.

Trying desperately not to blow a fart while squatting, I had a bad stomach ache on squat day.
A whole bunch of people around me and all I could think about is not letting a loud stinky one loose.
