it will show up once the package has been accepted at the post office, if I create an online USPS shipment until it's actually received and scanned at the post office there will be no info online.

Ok. I'll ask another question. How long after the Postal Office accepts a package, will it take, ON AVERAGE, for the DC# to show up on the website?
I've had packages show up without any updates on the USPS site. It's a hit and miss if they scan it or not I guess, don't know exactly though...
24 is unusual. Sounds like they printed the label but it wasnt given to usps. Usps is the worst for realtime updates though. Keep in mind this week and next will be extremely hectic for usps.

With USPS, I've had packages delivered and the DC# still says "no information found." It all depends on if the package gets scanned or not. Like DGG said, don't hold your breath during the Christmas season. Last week, I sent a package by USPS priority mail that is only a 3 hour drive away from me, and it took 8 days to here there. (Far from their 2-3 day priority mail guarantee) If you don't mind spending the extra money, have your shipper send by UPS or Fedex. Much more reliable.

Go to your local post office and look around, I am amazed that any mail gets delivered in this country. USPS should stand for undeniable shitty postal service. But hey it's only our tax money.
