Hey guys.

When returning to training after a break, is it best to stick with a set routine for the first few months or alternate everything/change things up again from the start (for example, bench press every week for three months instead of Bench Press one week, Dumbell Press the following etc.)? I'm relying only on muscle memory and diet to get my strength and size back (to an extent) before using any supps. etc.

Cheers.

Train the same way you (successfully) trained before.

Obviously at lower intensity and/or volume levels. If you jump straight back in at the level you were at before this obviously wont work out too well.

The methods of training though will still be just as good as they were before.

You'll have to gradually build up to it of course, yeah.

What he said of course. It sucks to get injured when working out so I would think gradually build up the resistance would be the best way to go.

Alternatively, you could try mixing some bodyweight exercises which doesn't have the injury potential as free weights do...
