Training for explosiveness

Hi, i play soccer so I also need ta explosiveness, As you said I try to lower the weight slowly (3-5 sec) and push it back as quickly as possible. But what really has helped me with my explosiveness and also my conditioning is to train with almost no rest between sets. Between every completed set I go immediatley to rope jumping for 30 - 60 secs and than continue with my weight exercise.
 
Lift weights fast and you will make an explosive entrance into the nearest emergency ward.
 
build fast twitch muscle fibers.

train for strength , not endurance.
 
You think that I`m building more of slow twitch fiber muscle with my training system instead of fast twitch fibers??
 
Ben Johnson did heavy squats, speed is strength moreso than endurance. Endurance guys are those stick figures that you see running 26-100 miles, not alot of power there.
 
plyometrics are great for Bball players, builds explosiveness by developing fast twitch fibers, look into that.
