Training / Home versus Gym

I love the convenience of weights at home - but on those sluggish days - I need the energy of a gym

I agree with most people, it is easier to get motivated in a gym, but the covenience of the home gym is nice as well. If you can afford it use both. Unless you have ALOT of money, you will never get the same quality and the same amount of equipment at home as in a gym. I have found it much easier to get motivated and work harder if you work out with a friend in a gym. At home there are alot of distractions like the TV, fridge, girlfriend, if you have kids, telephone etc that can trow you off your routine.

heres what yo udo you build a bad ass Pc and set it up in your basement with a surround sound system and dl any type of music you want and hot chic pics and get a whole freeweight gym and lift and when im tired i jump on the pc and play counter-strike and read these forums then i turn aroudn and jump back o nhe bench and run upstairs and grovel everything out my fridge lol
so i lift like 3 times a day but not for too long today my {ass] hurts from deadlifting... i havent worked in months just playing video games and weightlifting...eating reading arnolds book

Home for me.....
Can't stand the wife-beater wearing,
10 sets of concentration curl, $20 glove-
wearing, cell-phone gabbing, boy-band
atmosphere of 90% of commercial gyms.

A real gym is great for motivation, when going in a group of 2-3 guys you know, and can't beat the equipment. What really gets me is the people that are there for reasons other than to train. Guys who need to blow out their vocal cords at every rep. Then the girls, hey they are great to look at, but one type comes in with the tightest, skimpiest clothes, but doesn't like people looking at her. The other type wears the same thing, but makes it a point to wave it in your face and not really do much else.. I'm trying to train, not pitch a tent or hook up.. And of course the guy with all the equipment.. he's got the gloves, strap, headband, wrist sweat bands, hip pack, cd player, water bottle, cell phone, lifting belt (he's doing bis), towel, and every other fitness related item made by man. And he's curling 10lbs, making a collection of assorted dumbells around him and putting them back in the wrong spot.. Don't even attempt to ask any of these people for a spot, you'll regret it.

lolo
g point i dont have trainging partner yet this week i wil have one
hes like 34yrs old wans to lift he weighs but 160-170 max
but shit hes cool hes trim and wants to lift plus hes like my cousin and is also foreman at work..

At the gym is the best lots of woman helps to keep me entertained between sets

I like the gym, because you are there for one purpose....to work out. At home there are too many distractions and it's too easy to quit when you get tired.

Someday when I have the space and the $$$$, I would like to get some home equipment too. It would definitely be nice to have some equipment at home, so you could fit in "mini workouts" when you had a few free minutes.

Sometimes I do sets of pushups, crunches or use the dumbells at home, but I don't really have any "equipment"
