Do You keep one?

Yes, its VERY important to keep a training log of everything you eat, do and take.

Yup. Logged in a paper notebook, and here at IM.

ive been keeping journals sence i was 8

could i get an example of what a food and training log should be?

You could keep a journal here at IM like a lot of people do. I just make tables in a spreadsheet program and print them out. I fill in the boxes accordingly.

Yep, I keep a written journal, in a little note book that I always carry around.
I think I will start logging my diet in a journal on IM for my cut. Will keep me more "accountable" for what I eat!lol

I keep a small journal just to record my weight/size gains.

Yes. It makes it easier to see if you're still making progress or if stagnation has set in.

I don't see how anyone could be serious about this sport and not keep a training log

I tried keeping a journal while i was lifting, it sucked.

It'd take my mind right off the intensity of my wo, and i felt too overwhelmed trying to log every little thing.

I've never felt the need to create a log of my wo and diet. I make a mental note of those things and that's worked fine. If I kept a diary or a journal, it would be undisciplined... probably covering everything but my workout.

That's why I preplan my workout, exercises, weight, sets, and reps to attempt..then all you need to do is quickly pencil in something if it didn't go according to plan..I just couldn't imagine not tracking what I'm doing. But then again, I'm anal

I remember what i do, but its just in my head.

That's a good idea to preplan, but due to taken machines, i hafta spontaneously choose my wo's.
