arite guys how do just wondering if any of youse whos are geared up train 7days a week whilse on the juice.. or do you still give your self a rest day or 2? obviously as the body recovers alot faster when on so just curious as to how you guys go about it

I lift 3 days a week and do 2-3 cardio sessions a week for the health benefits. No amount of gear could allow me to train 7 days a week nor would I want to.

Your body still needs rest bro. You dont grow in the gym you grow in bed and in the kitchen. Even on gear you are damageing muscle tissue and need to properly refuel and rest it to see maximum gains.

i get what your saying mate i know you dont grow in the gym just wondering if people were traning more days on gear i know im putting in a extra half hour to my sessions now cant get enough at the min!

The only things I changed from going natural to juiced was the weight, and maybe an extra set.

No extra days in the gym, and no "extra" time in the gym.

At my age, 3 days a week is plenty. 7 days a week would drive me insane, I like training but have a girl, a life, 2 dogs, friends, a baby on the way. No way I would ever want to train 7 days a week, it just isn't that big of a priority at this point in my life.

When I have stuff on my mind, I like to just relax, listen to some music and clear my head that way. My focus in the gym is purely to get my work done and then get out. 100% of my focus is on the task at hand, there is plenty of time during the day to work on things weighing on my mind. But, to each his own Bro.

I agree. My gym time is my gym time, and I am 100% devoted to that time. Outside of the gym, I keep my diet in check... but like you, I have a fiancee, career, mortgage, 2 dogs, friends and a killer social life. Everything has it's place in my life and I find time for it all.

However, I would be completely lost with everything if I couldn't train...

I hear ya, I love to train. But just lately I realized that there are things more important, like my girl and our unborn baby. I will always train, always. But if my girl asks me to take an extra day off to just hang out with her, or if I have to decide between time with my child or the gym, sorry, the gym comes in second.

It's all about balance, life, career, training etc. I eat clean 99% of the time, I'd rather miss a gym session then a meal. But I am not as much of a fanatic as I was once.

I whole heartedly understand what you are saying.

thats right my family comes first gym is not that important to me.it does not matter anyway it is what you do over a long period of time like a life time that makes you look good so if you mis a day week month what ever who cares in the span of a life time does it really matter.but i do make it to the gym 3 or 4 times a week.just my 2 cents.

Rest is just as important as any anabolic. More so in fact. I've been training over 20 years, and I only lift 3 times a week. Remember, you grow while you are resting.

I only lift for functional strength anymore, thats because I still look like shit and need an excuse for trying out those awesome Men's Health Workouts.

Anabolic, What is your training routine like on your 3 day split? Im doing 4 days a week right now, but lately been pressed a bit for time, So thinking of going with a 3 day.

I do push, legs, pull.

Do about 9-12 sets per bodypart with the exception of biceps and triceps, they only get maybe 3 sets and some weeks no direct work at all. They do enough assistance work when doing chest, shoulders and back, more then that is overkill. If you want a routine laid out more, let me know.

Recovery and Recovery are as an important aspect of aas as anything else. To train hard 7 days a week is just plain dumb IMO. Muscle fibers need time to recover and grow. I train 4 days EW and this works perfectly. More is not always better. 5 days is fine too. 3 days should be minimum. But it's quality of training over quantity. No one in my gym sweats more when training than I do. I train each sessionas if the world is going to take my wife and daughter away from me unless I give it 110%. That's what I do. I am a strong believer in R & R as well as good diet and sleep. Of course, the 4 w/o sessions per week involve weights - but that's to say you can't go for a run or do some other cardio/aerobic activity on days you are not engaged in resistance training.

Id be really interested in a more laid out routine bro, I need a change and this may be what Ive been looking for!

i spend about an hour at the gym 5-6 days a week and do about 3-4 1 hour P90X sessions a week.

I am a german volume training routine which calls for 4 days a week lifting, then I throw 1 to 2 days of cardio in. I workout 4-5 days a week off cycle, the only difference is that I have longer workouts on cycle due to endurance.

No way 7 days. I increased my days from 4 to 5 while on the gears.

Just messing with you OP, but 1991 wants its JUICE back. :roflmao:

i like it hpw ppl call it the "gears" whats that all about, were im from its just gear, roids, juice or "the good shit" haha and whos 1991? tell him hes not getting it back im jabbing it in my quads right now!

After reading all this im just gonna stick to 4-5 days in the gym then a day or 2 cardio! as far as ppl saying i dont spend any more time in the gyn while on the juice thats ur call... if im in the gym and a hours past i wont look at my watch and go hey i better go now ive done my hour lol... i just listen to what my bodys saying and while on the gear its usually telling me you aint done mother fucker were just getting started haha.. but on the other hand we all have off days sometimes im there 30 mins and jus not in the zone so again ill listen to my body and usually cut the session short.. peace and love people!

I hear you Jimm, gear, roids, juice or sauce.

I personally take a day of once every fortnight for the most part.
I've trained at lower weekly frequencies with lower volume routine buts they just don't cut it for me I don't grow off that. I have to train back and legs 2x a week for them to grow, so thats 4 days

then chest + shoulders is another 2

and my bis and tris are usually gone after shoulders and back so i need a seperate arm day hence i'm at 7 days a week, on occasion i will drop out a leg or back day and that is where my rest comes in.
