i rolled my ankle yesterday and it is already swollen. Monday i train legs. if i can, should i still train my legs? i don't think it hurts when i put pressure on it, just when i walk. so i figure as long as the ankle joint remains still then i shouldn't have any problems

I guess u could do that but i think its best to not put any pressure on it at all. Just do exercises that dont require standing or pushing ur feet such as leg extensions and leg curls. You'll still be gaining strength and size and when your ankle heals you can go back to ur original leg routine.

if it hurts when you walk....then no!

ice it anad rest it.

Jesus if you mess up your ankle take a few weeks off. Chances are if you're so gung ho about weight training that you'd actually squat on a busted ankle, the layoff will be good for you.

it's just that, for me personally, i lose a little strength the longer i take off. i've been making gains in my legs and i'm discouraged thinking that while i'm resting my gains will be lost. weighlifting anxiety i guess. thanks for the advice, i'll rest the ankle

who doesn't loose strength when they take a little bit of time off?

You'll lose little or no strength/size if u take a couple of weeks off so it really wont be a problem.
