Curious what if you guys go to the gym anyways and do what you can do while sick...or do you take however much time off is needed to get well first? I lean towards going to the gym and doing something...When I take time off from being sick I feel lie I lose so much strength and size that I hate not pushing through a stomach bug or flu etc.. However when I'm sick I dont push myself. Just want to know what you guys do as we all deal with sickness.

I try to get in a few light workouts. I usually go lighter weight and slow. I know it's probably best to rest but its a mind fuck not training

I don't go if I'm real sick. I hate spreading bugs and there is no way your not going to infect your gym. I hate when I see someone lumbering through a workout coughing all over the place, touching the equipment...etc

stay at home do some abs if you feel well enough.

Stay out of the gym if you are sick.
A gym is a perfect environment to spread bacteria and viruses around in and no one wants to catch what you have.

Don't train if you are sick. Your body is working overtime to recover as it is. Go for a walk if you must do something but rest is what you need most to get better.

i train the same or as close to it as i can

there are times when it makes a difference and times when it doesnt,

but i feel shit hanging about the house in free time, the wife might want sex ffs.....

^^has a hot mrs :daydream:

I hate you!

It depends what kind of sick. If I'm coughing, chest congestion, body aching etc, I stay home, if I have a little head cold, sinus problems, etc I'll still go. At the end of the day, just listen to your body if you feel you're getting worse.

Depends on how sick you are.
I think it's better to rest at home, at least 3 days and eat some protein, c-vitamin and ibuprofen.

When I am sick, I don't do as much. I go pretty slow and keep things light

I train as best I can - just reduce the intensity because my body is already fighting to recover. Staying out of the gym is much harder mentally than going, and I believe that a light workout actually aids or facilitates recovery. Or so I tell myself, so I have an excuse to go train.
