I would have to agree... I am building a good set of traps using lighter weight with a full range of motion... I usually do like 3-4 sets of 20-30 reps. I usually use a short straight bar on the lower cable pulley for mine.
I'm sure I could lift much heavier, but I don't think I could maintain the correct motion and would stand more chance of injury.
