And do that ALL in one workout!! :thumb:

:headbang:

Prince...did you get that from me? Anyway, try this...reverse grip one arm pushdown to failure...immediately flip your hand over to regular pushdown grip (no rest) and continue to failure...you will be able to extend the set another 3-4 reps...OUCH :thumb:

SKULLCRUSHERS!:lifter:

I like skullcrushers on a slight decline bench.

Same here, I've also found using a reverse grip when doing Tri work helps hit them better to.

What about tricep kickbacks? Skullcrushers are also very good.

You should not feel it in your back...you may be using too much weight!

Me too.

if i don't do seated skulls i go CGBP or pressdowns.

That's about it. I only one of them too. 2 sets.

Its funny...I get nothing out of flat nosebreakers/skull crushers...never did! But if I do them on an incline and lower the bar/dumbell behind my head, damn I feel that!

Yes. if you re-read my post you'll see i said seated skulls. I don;t use incline bench tho (being anti-incline and all that lol) but i use a low back seat. They really are the tits.

 Push downs with straight bar, overhead dumbell extension
very heavy, rope push downs.

Ok, calm down TCD...I was just saying in general that I don't like regular skull crushers. Many people swear by them...and I have my clients do them. I just don't feel them. I like the seated version as you do, but my fav is on an incline. I guess they are the "tits" for me, lol.

So you guys do them on an incline bench as an overhead extension? I normally do them on a decline bench behind the head. I'll have to try your way some time.

Yes, this position strongly stresses the long head of the triceps...well, on me anyway...on TCD it will stress the whole tricep equally.

haha i wasn;t busting ya balls man, just pointing it out :)

Oh, and yes, i do them for the whole tricep. With triceps i do believe you can stress one head more than another, but i don;t believe you can cause growth in one area alone.

Ok, you DO believe that you can stress one head more than another, right? So, although you will still be causing a growth response in the whole tricep, don't you think you may be causing more of a growth response in the "more stressed" head?

:)

hmmm....when you train a muscle you're causing "micro-tears" which get repaired, and "hopefully" the muscle rebuilds a little bit bigger each time.
So, if you can stress one tricep head more than another, and ultimately cause more trauma to that part of the muscle, why wouldn't it ultimately have more growth? (and I am not being sarcastic)
