Hi,

I'm 6ft 2 and my weight is 11stones I'm from the UK and not to sure what scale everyone is using so i'm sorry if stones is wrong.

1 stone = 6.35 kilograms so I'm about 70KG.

Oh and I'm 19years young :loser:

yes i know not a good start.

I also do tae-kwon-dow.

Here's my problems i never put on weight no matter how much i eat so its even harder for me to build muscle. And because of my height i find it hard to stretch my legs and as i am doing tae-kwon-dow i need to be flexible.

Anyone got any advice:confused:

Thanks!

Eat like you weigh 50lbs heavier.

That will add weight.

Eat 5 600 cal nutritious meals a day, at least try to. Stick to compound moves: deadlifts, squats, bench.
Lol, I'm in the same boat with flexablity. I would think your TKD practice would stretch you out enough. I plan on taking yoga myself, I need to flexability to attain my str goals.

G'luck :thumb:

5 meals in one day? i usually have breakfast go to uni/work then eat when i get home then thats it....

To increase mass you need to eat and to make sure you are eating adequately you need to start counting cals. Study the sticky 'Guide to ...' excellent place to start for this info.

i know this is a stupid thing to say at my weight but how do i eat eat and eat and not become fat?

If you exercise properly and eat nutritious meals, you won't get fat by eating a lot for a long time... after you put on 30-50lbs you might notice you have a little fat which you can get rid of by doing a cut when you deem it necessary.

On a good day, I eat 6 or 7 times.

If you eat more calories than you expend, then you will get fat. You must be consistant with your training and be reasonable and eat clean. You cannot control where exactly cals go in your body, but by eating and training properly and consistantly you can keep fat gain to a min. Look to increase your weight by .5lb per week. This will keep you gaining with minimal fat. Assuming that you are consistant with your diet and exercise.

Bro, you really need to check out the stickies. Trust me, your questions have been asked many a time. Nutrition stickies in the nutrition section will help with your diet.

Basically, eating small frequent meals will speed up dat der metabolism. I know I know, strange witchcraft:thinking:, but tis true. Eating only twice a day actually puts you in a famine state. Your metabolism slows down, and any food you eat gets converted and stored as fat easier. If you eat more meals throughout the day, I bet your uni results will increase, too.

g'luck and remember: Stickies!!!

TKD - at your height and build, stretching should be easy. You are either not doing the right stretches, or not doing them properly, or consistently enough. Talk to you instructors about it. I have rather long, out of proportion legs, and I never had a problem in taekwondo or muay thai getting them pretty stretchy. the only thing that held me back was my laziness and not stretching enough.

you need to eat more often, eat well, and do some resistance training (weights)

eat more fats
eat more protien
eat more calories
work out consistantly
plenty of rest and consistant rest

this is all straight off the stickies

easier said than done...
alot of people have trouble gaining weight

Start counting your calories. As much as you think you are eating, it isn't enough. You have to consistently eat beyond maintenance, which requires force feeding for many people.
