Hey didn't really get punished... He needed to make it through that round and get his wits... He wasn't expecting jones to take him down and he's always been bad off his back. He needed to start round two w his game plan and take it to jones... The size difference was a huge part as well
 
And as far as I'm concerned sonnen does back it up who else has punished silva the way he did or even Brian Stan
 
It doesn't matter what happens.. Jones is a very very talented fighter. Jones has NEVER been taken down! Chail is a 2 time national champ collegiate wrestler and a world champ silver medalist and couldn't find range to even shoot a single! Jon is a freak and Chail is ALL mouth. As you could see last night.
 
roy nelson got another win by knocking someone the fuck out. he's one of my favorite fighters to watch, hope he gets a title shot soon.

Game plan and jones smothered him te while time just like he usually does. Do I believe chael couldn't take jones down not a chance... That was the best wrestler jones fought ad he used a great game plan... If he were as good as u give him credit for though he would have fought chael on 8 days notice
 
Roy has insane power he didn't even hit him right and still dropped him plus man that guy can take a beating
 
Disappointed in Sonens performance was expecting a good battle, Jones beat him to the takedowns I wasnt expecting that at all. Looks like Jones really put in the work and trained well for his opponent.

Nelson either deserves a title shot, or at the very least to be in a title eliminator. That right hand was money. very impressive. He's got an amazing overhand right.

Chael showed why he belongs at 185. Dude never should have been fighting at 205, much less a title shot. The size advantage was just too much. Because of that he wasn't able to even begin implementing his game plan. Jones stepped in the cage and imposed his will on a smaller man. Exactly what you would expect from a champion fighting a guy who belongs in a smaller weight class. exact same thing would happen if Henderson stepped in with GSP.

I'm hoping they figure out a way to cut way down on eye pokes though. Fighters need to be more aware of shit like that. bas rutten used to fight without gloves, open hand punches only and still didn't have the eye pokes these guys do.
 
By the way, the girl fight was another bad ass show of what girls can do. Sara McMann killed it out there, and while I don't think she will be a challenge to Rousey, she will for sure be part of the second tier of women who go out and put on exciting fights.

Also, way to go Steven Siler. that was such a great fight to watch. Those guys came to bang. We saw guys throwing their hands in the stand up game, and trying for submissions on the ground. That's how MMA fights should be. What a scrap.
 
Just watched the event.

Roy Nelson is a monster. He barely touched his opponent and beat the intelligence out of him.

Johns Jones has the sportsmanship that puts him, in my mind, in the league of JSP. I'm glad he won. Heck, he kissed his parents on the way in.
