I sure as hell dont. Chuck does the same thing pretty much all the time and I sont think anyone swallows their pride and changes their whole fight plan to win over him.

Thats why I thought Tito was a dipshit. He fought the same way he did the first time. Shooting from like 8 feet away to the guy that has proven best takedown defense?

BigD just likes to think everyone thinks Chuck is the best so he can feel different when he roots for guys like Cro Cop and Fedor, who both probably have more fans than Chuck internationally. :laugh:

You act like you're the prophet of PRIDE. PRIDE was on FSN before either of us existed on these boards. Mainstream guys have fought back and forth between PRIDE and UFC for more than a few years now. Yeah the fans were really antsy that night, I thought it was a great card.

Cro-cop mentioned it as well. He said the crowd was a lot louder, even in a smaller venue, but he had never heard a crowd boo when the action was slow. I'm worried that will turn off some of the other international stars. Fans in Japan act more like they are at a broadway musical than a fight, very respectful.
 
Let's not forget Eastman beat Jackson before and it was his first fight in the octagon, so I'm sure he was a little nervous. Jackson couldn't beat the top LHWs over at Pride (eg Shogun and the Axe Murderer). I think he's got something to prove in the UFC.

BigDyl: How could you say that Liddell has no shot against Cro Cop? I agree, Mirko and Chuck's striking are on 2 completely different levels. Mirko is a K1 class second to none striker, while I consider Chuck a great striker for a MMA fighter. If they were to fight at HW, I would consider Cro Cop a huge favorite, but Chuck would defintely have a puncher's chance as did Randleman, who is not as good a striker as Chuck. Fluke or not it proves he can be KO'd. However, if they were to fight at LHW it would be an interesting fight, with a slight edge to Cro Cop.

Cro Cop's weapon is his kicks. I'm thinking that will not be so good against Chucky ... his game is counter attack and vs kicks that's a very effective fighting style. Chuck wont have to worry about the shoot, so it's gonna be total striking war. The more I look at this the more I see this as an even match ... one I'd really love to see.

Sanchez was a total dork ... but he did get a few shots in. Chuck's shit is very precise so Chuck in that same match throwing punches at that same defense woulda ended Cro Cop.
