im entering university in under a months time after getting good grades, i had time to eat 250 grams of protein a day during summer break but i fear this intake is unsustainable through food due to time limitations during the day, is it advisable to obtain the protein soley through whey protein supplements, if so any advice on it?

Well supplements are really only supposed to supplement your diet, so IMO you should get your nutrients from food. I really don't know much about dieting at all, but I would say to try to get foods you can prepare at some time of the day and bring them with you if that's the issue. For example: prepare PB sandwiches so you can take them places. If time is an issue, find something that really takes no preparation. PB sandwiches fall under that category too. Once again, I know very little about dieting, so someone else can probably offer better advice.

well looking at your stats, i trust your opinion, thanks

I appreciate that, but I have a very bad diet and I'm about to post a thread to get help for it. I only gained because I'm young and I have a good routine. Thanks for the compliment though.

YOU ASSFUCK. just cos he has desent stats dont mean you cant trust him over a guy wit lower stats. Go home and train fool. :thumb:

Calm down. I've already covered this.

It isnt a formal letter but im glad your looking at Grammar and Punctuation, i learnt that when i was 4 years old perhaps you would benefit from applying to a special needs school to further your education and i will benefit from applying my grammatical knowledge to further posts. Btw you are a fiesty little boy, a catholic priest would be pleased to see you ;) and lexusgs you know jackshit about nutrition and diet and i know squabble has given excellent advice previously and results speak for themself so i tend to trust that then a skinny kid trying every supplement and failing at every attempt at bodybuilding.

Are you still 16? You sound mature.
Thank you. I turned sixteen about six weeks ago actually, so I still have quite a while until seventeen.

eating at uni is a lot easier than you think, whey and tuna are 2 great instant cheap sources of quality protein, chicken might be a little dearer but you can grill it in minutes, and slice it and take it into uni with you when needed, those 3 were my staple sources of protein at uni, i estimate i get a good 75-80% of my protein from those, other options are grilled steak, grilled salmon and ready to eat ham, although making steak and salmon staple meals in your daily routine is gonna be pricey, i'd just eat them once every 3-4 days

in terms of carbs oats, rice, baked potato... drop the oats into your whey shakes, boil the rice by the kg, and baked potato is a piece of cake, just make sure you put it in a good hour before you plan to eat

don't get me wrong, it takes a lot of motivation to get all that food in, and make time to cook and prepare your meals AND hit the gym several times a week whilst staying on top of your studies and having a cool social life... but it can be done, and once you get into a routine with your diet it will become 2nd nature, if you do ever get really rushed before your lectures its always good to have a few MRP's on standby and a box of protein bars, i'll always pack one of each regardless just incase i do get held up and can't nip back to my flat to eat

anyways good luck i'm sure your diet will be fine

peace
