US Can "Defend Against" NKorea Attack

I didnt post a theory i posted facts...North Korea has made threats about EMP's...How do you monitor a location after an EMP attack when your entire electrical grid is shut down?...You also seem to think that NK has to fire missles from their country only...Ever hear of Pearl Harbor?...A nuclear attack can come from anywhere land sea or air or even from within our own country...There are terrorists willing to do this...Free your mind!

couple of my good buddy's in the Navy worked in electronic warfare (EW) I don't know of any navy vessels protected from EMP not sure about the new Littoral combat ships. it's extremely difficult to protect against EMP. the only places I've ever seen Faraday cages are in secure data warehouses.

If there is ever an EMP it is the people that are screwed. You don't think that the government has not hardened their equipment and locations? Our power grid will go down, but the government and elites will go about their business as usual. And really do you think that military aircraft, naval vessels and missile systems aren't protected from this sort of thing?

1. If the toe-head tubby Kim John Un is whacked who will replace him? A conservative military man in the inner circle. It'll be more of the same.

2. If KJU and all of his aids are whacked, then South Korea, the USA will have to dump billions and billions of taxpayer money into North Korea for many, many, years.

3. It will put downward pressure on the Won.

4. Seoul is called the "killbox" for a reason. The many missiles NK has are at the border and Seoul is less than 20 miles from the border.

5. NK has one of the largest armies in the world. I doubt they eat much and they probably don't have the highest tech equipment, but there would be a lot of chaotic ramifications.

I do not think the US and South Korea have the wherewithal - and they definitely do not have the money.

North Korea has the 4th largest Army. Do you know who held that title before them? Iraq. in term of power, they rank 28th. Comparison between the United States of America and North Korea.

The truth is that we could defeat North Korea if we simply stop feeding them.

Even with the 4th largest army it's enough to cross into South Korea. If it was the US vs. NK army & military - no doubt the US would pulverize them. But Seoul is close to the DMZ - Iraq's army was in Iraq.

NO I did not say that. I original said folks like you and me will be screwed if an EMP happens. The military and certain government agencies are more than likely protected. Any conducting metal can shield against an EMP, provided it is grounded properly. To address a concern, naval vessels are floating Faraday cages.

as for them launching missiles vs 911 the main difference is we have destroyers baby sitting NK on daily basis waiting to just pull the trigger on them. The other difference is most of those commanders would rather do time in the brig disobeying an order to stop a nuclear war. Also the amount of seal teams standing by in SK.
