There should also be a "shoot on site" provision and a moratorium against the construction of new mosques, as well as visa restrictions for anyone from a muslim country.

The National Defense Authorization Act is being called the most traitorous act ever witnessed in the Senate, and the language of the bill is cleverly designed to make you think it doesn't apply to Americans, but toward the end of the bill, it essentially says it can apply to Americans "if we want it to.

This bill, passed late last night in a 93-7 vote, declares the entire USA to be a "battleground" upon which U.S. military forces can operate with impunity, overriding Posse Comitatus and granting the military the unchecked power to arrest, detain, interrogate and even assassinate U.S. citizens with impunity.

Even WIRED magazine was outraged at this bill, reporting:

...the detention mandate to use indefinite military detention in terrorism cases isn't limited to foreigners. If It's already done, then once someone's liberty is violated the state courts and then the supreme court will hear the case. Like I said, this law wouldn't be alive for long if abused OR used in the wrong situations, see Korematsu v. United States. The law may be in the books but once it is implemented, the way the author of the article describes it will be, it will be repealed. Again, unless someone actually abolishes the structure of the U.S. government, the Bill of Rights is still valid. It takes a 2/3 majority of house and senate (not a simple majority) to propose an ammendment then 3/4 of state's legislatures have to approve in order for it to be ratified. BTW, they'd have to do this successfully ten times to get rid of the bill of rights.

That's not gonna happen with the bill of rights. We're more likely to create "thinking machines" that nuke the world and take over enslaving the planet and inventing time travel mechanical assassins before that happens.

When I have read judicial decisions and dissenting opinions (for classes), I see alot of uncommonly well-reasoned and independent thought that leads me to believe that none of those guys are anyone's puppets (referring to the Supreme Court). Their opinions are shaped by their philosophies as regards the Constitution (strict or loose constructionism) but I would not accuse a single one of them of being a puppet.

I don't own any firearms because I don't trust myself. My home-defense consists of baseball bats, sledgehammers, chairs, anything I can get my hands on and a suicidal crazy switch that I can engage at will (hence why I don't own a gun...the suicide part).

That being said, all you have to do is look across the border and see the zetas and caballeros atrocities against the Mexican populace to see how limitations on legal gun ownership embolden violent criminals. I would love to go down in a blaze of glory murdering the fck out of as many of those vermin as possible.
