US Constitution repealed by traitorous Senators

This is a good piece of legislation. I hope the Obama admin doesn't kill it and I don't think they will. They'll whine and bitch, just for show. But, Barry will sign it ultimately, as he should. We're at war and we need laws like this and the Patriot Act to keep us safe. Unfortunately, it doesn't go far enough. There should also be a "shoot on site" provision and a moratorium against the construction of new mosques, as well as visa restrictions for anyone from a muslim country.

If they signed this bill, it will give them green light to use against the 99 % in the future. After seing how those corporate puppets (cops) handled OWS, I can't trust them.:(

Good, now we are at same lavel as China. China uses the word 'Terrorist' to justify its crack down on its innocent citizens.:(

need to get all those old fossils out of US politics, they are still living in the cold war era and can't let it go...

We live in one of better country's there is as far rights and quality of life goes. I m not saying its perfect but far better than most. We need to be able to open things up a bit, we have thousands of terrorist living among us with all our open door polices giving them shelter. Something gotta be done we gotta be able to put fear in those who wish to hurt us if we are to be taking serious. As it is now we are seen across the world as soft lazy slobs, and even tho they may not want to wage war force to force . Theses terror cell networks all have men here on US soil working, learning our ways and planning attacks against us on our ground. In some ways I almost think we need to go back to per ww 2 and isolate our selfs from the rest of world as far foreign polices goes and rebuild our country ...

I've got my own protection against terrorists. It's called a .45. We don't need more laws to protect us, we need more people who aren't braindead morons dependent on the government to protect us from some bogeyman.

those numbers are probably on the very high side but regardless they wouldn't be here except for US imperialism in the middle east.

you tend to get stung less when you don't go fucking around with the hive. but as we all know the MIC has to have an enemy and since the end of the USSR and the cold war, it's now Islam and terrorists...

I think the war with Islam has been going on since before the USSR collapsed. It likely began when the CIA took out a democratically elected govt in Iran and reinstalled the Shah and has grown over the years with western involvement in the region. Basically, over a century of the US and UK nation building in the region.

Sure we may have insighted some of the violence but the hatred and belief of extremists that all infidels need to convert or be killed is a little more complex than just saying we should have known better. You are dealing with millenia of hatred and it is bread into people for generations, the US and UK didn't just make that happen, that is plain ignorant to assume we are all to blame.

Saddam, Osama and the mujahideen were provided with weapons and monies to kills Russians then the US turned their guns on them after they had served their purpose, wouldn't you be fucking pissed off?

In reality, it prolly dates all the way back to the creation of Israel and the support for it over the past 60 years. On that one, I say fuck'em. However, when you add up all of the meddling in the region as well, it's pretty understandable why they'd hate us. I say it's time to gtfo of the ME, start drillin' and let them do their own killin'.

Hell, yes! Then when they're done we'll send a few settlers over there to man the oil rigs. Two problems solved. No more trouble in the middle east and oil will be a little bit cheaper.

Dear brothers and sisters. Now is the time to open your eyes!

In a stunning move that has civil libertarians stuttering with disbelief, the U.S. Senate has just passed a bill that effectively ends the Bill of Rights in America.

The National Defense Authorization Act is being called the most traitorous act ever witnessed in the Senate, and the language of the bill is cleverly designed to make you think it doesn't apply to Americans, but toward the end of the bill, it essentially says it can apply to Americans "if we want it to.

Bill Summary & Status, 112th Congress (2011 -- 2012) | S.1867 | Latest Title: National Defense Authorization Act for.

This bill, passed late last night in a 93-7 vote, declares the entire USA to be a "battleground" upon which U.S. military forces can operate with impunity, overriding Posse Comitatus and granting the military the unchecked power to arrest, detain, interrogate and even assassinate U.S. citizens with impunity.

Even WIRED magazine was outraged at this bill, reporting:

Senate Wants the Military to Lock You Up Without Trial

...the detention mandate to use indefinite military detention in terrorism cases isn't limited to foreigners. It's confusing, because two different sections of the bill seem to contradict each other, but in the judgment of the University of Texas' Robert Chesney — a nonpartisan authority on military detention — "U.S. citizens are included in the grant of detention authority."

The passage of this law is nothing less than an outright declaration of WAR against the American People by the military-connected power elite. If this is signed into law, it will shred the remaining tenants of the Bill of Rights and unleash upon America a total military dictatorship, complete with secret arrests, secret prisons, unlawful interrogations, indefinite detainment without ever being charged with a crime, the torture of Americans and even the "legitimate assassination" of U.S. citizens right here on American soil!

If you have not yet woken up to the reality of the police state we've been warning you about, I hope you realize we are fast running out of time. Once this becomes law, you have no rights whatsoever in America. — no due process, no First Amendment speech rights, no right to remain silent, nothing.

The US senate does not want us to speak. I suspect even now orders are being shouted into telephones and men with guns will soon be on their way. Why? Because while the truncheon may be used in lieu of conversation, words will always retain their power. Words offer the means to meaning and for those who will listen, the enunciation of truth. And the truth is, there is something terribly wrong with this country, isn't there?
Cruelty and injustice...intolerance and oppression. And where once you had the freedom to object, to think and speak as you saw fit, you now have censors and systems of surveillance, coercing your conformity and soliciting your submission. How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those who are more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable. But again, truth be told...if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

I know why you did it. I know you were afraid. Who wouldn't be? War. Terror. Disease. There were a myriad of problems which conspired to corrupt your reason and rob you of your common sense. Fear got the best of you and in your panic, you turned to the now President in command Barack Obama. He promised you order. He promised you peace. And all he demanded in return was your silent, obedient consent.

More than four hundred years ago, a great citizen wished to embed the fifth of November forever in our memory. His hope was to remind the world that fairness. Justice, and freedom are more than words - they are perspectives. So if you've seen nothing, if the crimes of this government remain unknown to you, then I would suggest that you allow the fifth of November to pass unmarked. But if you see what I see, if you feel as I feel, and if you would seek as I seek...then I ask you to stand beside one another, one year from November 5th, 2011, outside the gates of every court house of every city DEMANDING our rights!!

Together we stand against the injustice of our own Government.

We are anonymous.
We are Legion.
United as ONE.
Divided by zero.
We do not forgive Censorship.
We do not forget Oppression.
US SENATE...
Expect us!!

If It's already done, then once someone's liberty is violated the state courts and then the supreme court will hear the case. Like I said, this law wouldn't be alive for long if abused OR used in the wrong situations, see Korematsu v. United States. The law may be in the books but once it is implemented, the way the author of the article describes it will be, it will be repealed. (emphasis on implementation of this law the way the author described)

Pitbull's right here...even obamacare might be getting neutered as soon as they try to force someone to buy insurance or pay a penalty. It takes awhile but the constitution eventually trumps bad law.

What if the judge is also a puppet of these pigs?

Again, unless someone actually abolishes the structure of the U.S. government, the Bill of Rights is still valid. It takes a 2/3 majority of house and senate (not a simple majority) to propose an ammendment then 3/4 of state's legislatures have to approve in order for it to be ratified. BTW, they'd have to do this successfully ten times to get rid of the bill of rights.

That's not gonna happen with the bill of rights. We're more likely to create "thinking machines" that nuke the world and take over enslaving the planet and inventing time travel mechanical assassins before that happens.

First this because I think I'm in love with your avatar dammit, :heartpump:heartpump

When I have read judicial decisions and dissenting opinions (for classes), I see alot of uncommonly well-reasoned and independent thought that leads me to believe that none of those guys are anyone's puppets (referring to the Supreme Court). Their opinions are shaped by their philosophies as regards the Constitution (strict or loose constructionism) but I would not accuse a single one of them of being a puppet.

Not enough decisions to review for Obama's most recent appointment but it takes a very independent and intelligent person (demonstrated by published decisions and opinions) to get nominated to that office. Lower level courts are not subject to the same scrutiny so yes it may be possible to find some impropriety there if looking for it.

One of the issues I feel most strongly about is the 2nd Amendment. For that reason I'm still VERY concerned about Sotomayor and Kagan.

I don't own any firearms because I don't trust myself. My home-defense consists of baseball bats, sledgehammers, chairs, anything I can get my hands on and a suicidal crazy switch that I can engage at will (hence why I don't own a gun...the suicide part).

That being said, all you have to do is look across the border and see the zetas and caballeros atrocities against the Mexican populace to see how limitations on legal gun ownership embolden violent criminals. I would love to go down in a blaze of glory murdering the fck out of as many of those vermin as possible.

So yeah, I think the 2nd ammendment will always be safe...now limitations are debatable (SoCAL is an extreme example) but people still have a right to defend themselves and I believe they always will (plus people got so many guns stashed waiting for the world to break down, the government would have a real mess on its hands trying to take people down in a concerted effort).

Sure, you are minimizing what took so many years going WAY back into history into a span of 30 years, talk about minimizing something to make a point. I many times question if you even like being American when there are so many out there that would do anything for citizenship. You are entitled to your opinion just don't expect people to like it when you make us sound like the worst place in the world and call the whole citizenry stupid. Just saying, that is in a nutshell, exactly how you come off. :hmmm:

I don't think LAM is minimizing anything. America is not a country, it's a market started by privateers aka pirates who allied with natives to betray and kill their own people and then betray and kill their allies. It's a pattern all throughout history and is even felt by veterans who are shit on when they come home from a bogus war. Everyone in America besides the people on reservations either deserted their own country or their ancestors did and can not say this is their homeland any more than the Hebrews who came from Iraq can say Palestine is theirs.
I would join the Legionnaires before the US military.

When someone tries to say that the US is the worst in the world, what they're actually saying is that they're moronic, and possibly retarded.

That's where the whole thing is fucked up. The government is ignoring the constitution and the bill of rights. More and more often.

I think we are probably still the best place in the world. Although we are definitely going downhill when it comes to our government. Things need to change otherwise we will be like a lot of other shit holes in the world.

Don't get me wrong, I know we have our issues, but they're no one near as bad as it gets. And, for a lot of things, we're near or at the top.

:coffee:

If this is true, which it probably is, we are royally fu%ked.
Which brings me to this memory. When former pres. bush jr said, "this would be alot easier if he was a dictator"!

Actually it was Obama. Your paraphrase is off. He was talking about how that clown down in Argentina gets things done much easier by edict.

Don't care for Bush II nor Obama, so no hate.

You are right, we aren't near as bad as some make it sound. However I'm not content to let it actually get there before saying "Maybe we ought to do something?"
