Other nations had slave colonies in the carib and south america to work the plantations. So The french, spanish, english would of accumulated more wealth and those colonies would of probably became superpowers by now.

Hmmm, Part of me wants to say something profound, but I can't, because the levels of modern day slavery and people trafficking today are greater than at any point in history.

That's not right you say? Slaves from Africa numbered in millions, today it's billions. Today its girls and women, who are trafficked and enslaved, particularly for the sex trade, are done so with a view to high rate of return over a relatively short period of time. Then they are switched from the steady supply of replacements....these slaves don't plow your fields though.

So, all throughout history there were slaves and back then, if it weren't Africans, it would've been someone else....Which history showed us.
