hey. srry to make a thread for this, but jst wanted to get the record straight...for myself at least.

an increase in vascularity (when the veins are really visible) = low bf right? or is that only just from pumps?

cause lately it seems as though my veins are bulging out more and in new places...like runnin up both my arms..even when i havent lifted...ill jst be sittin here...

wasn't sure if this meant my bf is starting to go down or what...

i hope to get a better idea of my bf when i use calipers, right now im usin a digital scale with bf on it...but not sure how accurate those are

thanks in advance

I've heard verry little about this but from what I have heard, its a combo of two things. First, as you become more active you start loosing bodyfat....the bodyfat covering the veins. Also, as your muscles become larger they push the veins up farther to the surface (not too sure about theis one). I think that the leaner you get, the more pronounced your veins begin to appear.

I dont know either. But I lost 30 pounds over a few months, and started lifting more. So I went lower in body fat, but didnt gain too much muscle, but I am already starting to see bigger veins on my biceps and lots on my forearm. So I would say its both, getting low in body fat (thats when people see them on their abs) and working out with weights to harden the muscles underneath.

its low BF and genetics. Some people I know have not lifted a day in their life and have huge veins running down their arms.

The only time I have ever had nice vascularity is when I am below 15% BF.
