Hi Everyone. I occasionaly stop by and browse this board but this is the first time I have posted. I am 19, 6'1 and 175 pds with 18% body fat. I have been lifting on and off for about 2 years. I wanted to get down to around 10% body fat. My question is should I add more muscle weight first because if I don't by the time I get down to 10% I will weigh next to nothing right? And if any one has any help with a routine or diet that could help me I'd appreciate it. Thanks for the help.

Well I just turned 18 and I am around 16% bodyfat because I am bulking. I am trying to drop it down to 14% so I don't have to loose too much for the contest season. I weight in about 205 now and I am about 5'10. In your case you might want to keep up your weight but loose a little while your bulking. Then next summer when you cut down you will look much thicker. Right now if you cut down you might weigh about 150 I would say or maybe 155, and at 6'1 you need a little more beef buddy.

Don't ever look behind at the things you have don't. Always look forward.

My advice would be to eat clean with lots of protein(6 small meals daily)and work towards increasing mass. Lower reps and higher weight. Slowly but surely you will lose body fat and at the same time add muscle, just stick with it.

76'ERS! Great handle. Huge fan myself. Welcome to the board. Go with Chargers advice. Maybe we can get Allan over here and get him motivated to bulk up this off season. What your take on our first round pick. Any rumors on picking up a perimeter shooter? Personally I'd like to see Buford get more minutes. Sorry, getting off topic. Welcome aboard!

I agree with Charger as well, keep putting on some size, eat clean and get plenty of rest.
Do you have a workout plan now? maybe you can post it and we'll help you out it needed.

Also, WELCOME TO XTREME!!!
