I take a 5lb plate or dumbbell and swing my arms (one at a time) in a full circular motion about 20 times for 2 sets, and of course start out with light weight.
I also do the windmills, as they have been named on this site, with a 5lb plate. I do them on any day that I am working upper body, each arm 20 forward/20 reverse. warms me up a bit and it is just part of my routine
