I'm looking to purchase a weight bench. unfortunately I have a budget of about 250, I was wondering if i could get a few suggestions and a commernt about this one . here's the URL

Thanks

If your getting that piece of gear for $250 U.S. dollars I would question is quality.
IMO I would save a little more money and buy a quality power rack and an adjustable bench. Then you can safely work the entire body, and it will last you a lifetime.

That looks decent. It says easy walkin squatting but it doesn't look like the bench stands on it's own. Here is my current setup, it's cheaper but it's doing the job for now. The bench is not connected which is very good.

mick makes a good point, mine will not last very long at all. But the next one will :thumb: Check out Body Solid equipment !! Great stuff !!

I think it looks ok bu I agree with saving up and buying something better. when you outgrow that you will only end up spending more money.

Well if you have a budget to stick to and you like it, then buy it. If or when someday down the road and you are still into bodybuilding then get a better one. Lets face it you can always sell your old bench.

PRA,
That is the bench that I have. The bench and rack are both pretty solid and handle a olympic set good. I think it is a good place to start. The bench comes out from the rack and has about 10 different adjustments. I just got it a couple weeks ago at Dunham's on sale for 180. But it says it is olympic style, but it is not olympic width. that was the only thing I did not like about it. My old bench was a beat up hand me down and was starting to make we worried to even use it, so I had to get something new.

Looks like the one my bro's about to buy. $219 where he's gettin' it, I'll be sure to show him the link ^^

I'll throw another nod for Body Solid stuff. I have a bunch of their equipment, and I think it's great stuff. I just checked www.fitnessfactory.com and you can get the flat/incline/decline bench for $229, but that's just the bench it self.

I have an Impex weight tree, and it's pretty solid. Basically, I would go for what you can afford as long as it is stable and safe, and you can always upgrade latter as money or desire wants.
