Ok gang- here it is- I'm 19- 5'11 and have been lifting since last August- I'm stuck at 170- I have tried just about every weight gainer drink on the market today- so much so that now I get sick
evertime I drink any of it. I bought into one of the weight ganier programs on the net- states I should have 250 grams of protein a day- and 2,000- 3,000 calories a day- I was 150 when I started-
but now I'm stuck at 170- I also have creatine twice a day-
I'm really getting p/o'd. I'd really like to get to 220-230-

I also try to get in as many carbs a day- any other suggestions?
Any good supplements besides any changes in my diet that I should do???
Thanks for any help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First off I would DITCH all those boughten weight gainer shakes!!! JUNK!! full of sugars that you just dont need! stick to wholesome better foods- this will help limit fat gains. you can make your own high calorie dense "bulking" shakes.. whey protein, ground oats, banana/berries, milk, natural peanut butter or oils (flax, hemp, udo's, etc).

do you know how many calories you are getting in each day? 2000-3000 is not enough to gain weight really at your current weight. how about increasing calories again, if your already getting adequate protein, increase complex carbs and healthy fats.
have you checked the stickes at the top of the forum on guide diets? there are sample bulking diets in there.. smarter ways to go about it rather than depending on boughten weight gainer shakes.

as atherjen said up the cals i weigh 160 and i have to eat around 3500-4000 to see any weight gain, and ditch the weight gainer shakes and make your own as atherjen said
how long did it take you to get to 170 lbs. from 150 and how long have you been stuck at it?? You also might check into switching up your workout routine a bit for a change of pace to shock the muscles into more growth

it took me a 6 months for me to see the weight gain-I just can't seem to keep it on- When I work out it just seems to come off- I'm trying to stay at 3000 cals a day- but with going to school- and working ptime- its hard so thats why I was dowing the weight gainer shakes- because I can't eat 10xs a day like I should- What tpye of work out do you suggest????

You just need to eat more, plain and simple. Eat 4000 calories a day of quality foods. If you are on the go a lot, then you can precook foods and keep them in tupperware or buy protein bars that you can bring with you. Eat, eat more, eat after that, and then eat some more. Oh yeah, when you're done eating, don't forget to eat.
