First things first; don't worry about an isolated case of nausea, you probably just over did it on leg day. Happens to every SERIOUS lifter. Second; protein shakes are the greatest invention ever for weight lifters. Don't give up on this valuable gift. Try different brands and different sources (whey, soy, egg) sometimes the absorbtion rate can upset your stomach or just the extra ingredients that particular company adds. Third: Mule, I don't care if you're a boy, a girl or somewhere in between, just keep posting the pics.

Thanks Albob. Somewhere along the way I forgot what the topic was!!! i'm not going to give up. I have started a half and half concoction of designer whey and gensoy and it's alright. I think it'll do the trick! Any other advice to survive leg day?
 
I'm sure you're already very consious of staying well hydrated, but on leg day it's even more important. You might want to try increasing your water intake the day before you train legs to insure the muscles are saturated. I've gone so far as to add a pinch of salt to my water the night before to help me retain. Unfortunately, this will probably mean a little less sleep the night before due to those little trips to the ladies room, but if it keeps you feeling well the next day it's worth it.

Sorry Helga, poor choice of words on my part. I didn't mean to imply that you have to get sick to be considered a serious lifter. I was trying to emphasize that nausea sometimes comes with the territorry and wasn't something to be too concerned about. I will go to the penalty box for two minutes and feel shame.

ABLOB I'm A SERIOUS lifter and I never get sick...but then I am a wee bit abnormal...heh...heh...heh..... I don't use soy because it makes me retain too much water. I use whey, I like the no carb vanilla and I mix it back with water, oranges and pinapple or bananna, or strawberries and some ice....very tasty! The vanilla is also good mixed back with peanut butter, oatmeal and a small amount of yogurt with ice...both make a very tasty smoothie. I am enjoying as amny as I can right now cause Aug 1st I have to stop them for cutting....bummer.......
 
Yeah, two minutes are up and not a second too soon. I thought I saw Mule in there and he had a crazed look in his eyes.

Hey Baboon, have you heard about Part II? Supposedly it's in the works and they got all three original Hansen borthers to come back. Can't wait, hope it's as good as the original.

ALBOB, I've heard about a sequel coming out. I'm surprised it hasn't hit yet...I heard the rumors a while ago. Actually, from what I've heard, it's no rumor, it's reality.

The first movie, when the Hanson bros. hit the ice for the first time....CLASSIC!!!
