On occassion I will take a hot bath but usually thats only cuz I fried my legs so bad that I can't stand up or walk down the stair. Otherwise, I grin and bear it. It's a good pain! :D

Same with me, I'll just take the pain. Although, I do up the grams of glutamine if the soreness is really bad.

I just deal with it. If it's real intense, I just soak in a HOT tub (I mean really hot). Most times though, my wife will give me a massage, which of course leads to.....um, nevermind. ;)

Well Well Well,, Freeman I must say I'm very proud of you. You and I have something in common.
I also pay no mind to normal muscle soreness regardless of it's intensity. I only treat or deal with Pains and strains for those are the ones that can cause you a real injury that could sideline all your gains.
I must admit that I'm old (40yrs old) and with age comes old attitudes sometimes. A motto I train by is: Pain is good; Extreme pain is Extremely Good". This tells me I've done something right and I wear my pains and muscle aches as a badge of honor.
Now the key here is to be able to recognize pain from injury which over 20 years of weight training, military service, Martial arts, I consider myself an expert in being able to distinguish the two.
For Injuries considering their extent, I will turn to Alieve for lower back problems, ibuprofen for tendon irritations and bad cases,, layoffs and possible Medical advice.

Hey Thanks Free. thats a really awesome compliment.

I don't know bout the pineapple but the stretching after a workout may relieve some discomfort.

If it's DOMS and it's real bad, I'll pop some Advil. Only when it's real bad though, like after a leg workout following a month long break from legs. But that rarely happens. 99.5% of the time, I just live with the pain.

If it's BAD pain, I take a break from working that muscle group.

Live with it.

Or if it's so bad that it gets to the point where it'd hindering other objectives, then maybe do some sort of GPP.

Pineapple or stretching is not a cure all, I wasnt saying it was. Its just some sort of relif. You know weight training is suppose to make you sore hurt and burn. Sometimes you have to deal with it! Ignore the pain to a point, maybe the pineapple and stretching is more mental but it works for me. Speaking of mental, DONT WE ALL HAVE TO USE MENTAL IN LIFTING????? THINK ABOUT IT!

Mental first, metal second.

Jodi,

I also use the hot tub to relieve my soreness. Maybe we could get together sometime, you know, me and you, relaxing, in the tub, gettin' rid of soreness.;)

nothing......I live for the Pain.

Drink tankards of beer, if that doesn't do it, then rough it!
