im 16, 5'7 and 135 pounds

would 1gram protien to ever lb and
2 gram carbz for ever lb

be a good diet for me, who wants to build muscle and get fitter (of course) and i want to bigger in general.

i'd probally have about 15-20% fat percentage aswell?

I go to gym 3 times a week and do full body each time.

and off days i do mountain biking, walking most nights (with mum :( ), and tennis once a week.

I'm much older than you and bigger, 40 yo, 6'2", 220 pounds, and I'm eating 1 1/2 protein grams per pound of body weight, 1 carb gram per pound b/w and make up the rest of my calories with healthy fats.

My calorie goal is 2700 per day. You first need to determine your caloric needs, which there are many web sites that can help you with that, and take it from there.

I should also point out that my goals are probably different from yours in that I wanna drop body fat while adding muscle...in that order. Therefor, my carb intake is probably lower than yours will be.

Good luck.

ok, for the diet part, go to the diet & nutrition section of this board..

As for you workout, you should NOT do a full body workout each time you go tot he gym. work one or two (depending on what part it is) each time. I go 4 times a week...here's an example of a workout schedule you could (should) try

DAY 1 - chest & tris
DAY 2 - BACK & BIS
DAY 3 - OFF
DAY 4 - SHOULDERS
DAY 5 - LEGS
DAYS 6 & 7 - OFF (or you could just take one day off and start the "week" all over again, but since my gym is at school, I don't feel like going to school on my weekends too!:thumb:

but, going to the gym and doing full body each time will not allow your muscles proper rest/recovery time...therefore, you're not going to see much growth and gains...don't believe me? just ask GoPro or Dr. Pain...those guys are my heros!
