So you should use it for variety? I think I read somewhere in that Arnold encyclopedia that it helps with definition.

that is a great book for pictures that's about it..body fat levels effect definition, remember you can not spot reduce

IMO you can use it for variety, i no some people who superset every workout, i would burn myself out if i did that. I superset every 8wks or so (the week after i finish a routine...before starting a new one) Definition is left up to diet...., you can superset every routine, but if you have 30% BF you wont see them....the leaner you are the more defined you will be...

I do it mostly when I don't have much time left at the gym, but I have to admit it does feel great supersetting.

..makes my arms burn. Only tried supersetting with my arms, but am getting ready to try supersetting teh shoulders.

Your triceps are built like tractors. What do you do to them?

i use supersets for 1 of 3 things.

1. conditioning - superset high rep squats (12-15) with SLDL's (also 12-15 reps) for a couple of sets and then try telling me resistance training isn't aerobic.

2. low on time

3. change of pace - i get bored easily but i haven't done a superset in ages (for about as long as i've been PL'ing). BB'ers can use it to 'shock' a muscle or w/e they call it nowadays, but in reality throw your body a curve ball, and there are lots of ways of doing it beside supersets and so called 'shock techniques,' and it will be forced to adapt.

yeah i have one set of supersets i use on my tri's

skullcrushers into.... close grip then right into dips.....
